Just plane awesome
After decades of dragging a two wheeler my wrist and shoulder were complaining l loudly and begging me to change to a spinner. As a flight attendant, I don’t have time (or patience) for fussy luggage—and this 22-inch spinner from Briggs & Riley gets it.First of all, it rolls like butter. We’re talking four double spinner wheels that glide through airports smoother than a first-class upgrade. Tight aisle? No problem. This baby pivots better than me dodging a gate-change announcement. The exterior is tough enough to survive being gate-checked, dragged down jet bridges, or stuffed in the overhead bin Tetris-style. Plus, the compression-expansion system is a game-changer—it expands to fit all your layover secrets (snacks, extra shoes, and that one hotel towel you definitely “borrowed”), then compresses down to a sleek carry-on that always fits the bin.Interior? Organized like a galley cart. Mesh pockets, compression panels, and just enough compartments to make you feel like you’ve got your life together, even if you’re running on four hours of sleep and coffee fumes. Use a Beis weekender on top. No tipping, no struggles and I could easily pack for an extended trip which I really wish I’d done that time the Icelandic volcano exploded and left me stranded in Paris for 8 days. More fun than it sounds. Washing your undercrackers in the hotel coffee pot gets real old real quick.Bottom line: It’s durable, stylish, professional, and practically flies itself. If you’re living that crew life—or just want to travel like you are—this bag is your new favorite coworker.

I cannot say enough things about how amazing this thing is.
The Wirecutter recommended this as their 'upgrade pick'. It's expensive but my previous spinner bag had a busted wheel and after a long tour of duty I felt it was time for something new. Something nice. I treated myself to this bag and I'm so glad I did. I quickly added a duffel bag / underseat carryon bag which helpfully fits right on the handles of this 22 inch spinner bag. I can walk around in an airport at a fast pace deftly maneuvering this 4-wheeled wonder through even the busiest terminals. But getting there is only half the fun, what's it like when you get there? This bag is unbelievably well designed with thought given to how to make use of every cubic inch of space. A zippered pouch lined orange for small items. A pocket for travel documents. Room for three hangers of clothing. A large front pocket perfect for my MacBook Air. With all the main supports heavily armored with tough plastic to not only provide protection of the goods inside but also serving to maximize the internal space. It might feel a tiny bit loosey-goosey but this is absolutely to the thing's benefit. The bend-dont-break model makes this an incredibly robust piece of luggage. Able to stand up to the daily abuses of travel even if that travel is an extended period of time. I spent 34 days on the road in the fall 2023 with this Briggs & Riley 22-inch spinner bag and was always grateful to have it as my constant companion on an unforgettable trip.

Excellent Suitcase
I absolutely adore this suitcase! This is the first time I’ve purchased and expensive suitcase and a couldn’t be happier. So many great pockets and features. It rolls so easily. I am a chronic over-packer and this one suitcase can hold enough for a 10 day trip easily! My favorite feature is the built in hanger bag for your dress shirts and other delicate items. I’m 5’4’’ and this is the perfect height. I’m glad I didn’t buy the next bigger size. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

Holy Grail Personal Item Can Stack 45L Backpack And Roll With Ease
If you want to avoid checking a bag, it doesn't get any better than the Briggs and Riley 16" underseat bag plus the 45L peak designs backpack (both Wirecutter picks, why does no one ever mention using them together!?). With the exception of some economy aisle seats, the Briggs will fit under your seat and the backpack can go in the overhead. The backpack's luggage sleeve allows you to put it on top of the Briggs and roll with ease. Now, this combo may seem odd/top heavy, but add in any stairs, trains, cobblestones, and you're able to put the larger item on your back and your arms can easily lift the Briggs. I have easily been able to do a 2 week Europe trip with this combination without any laundry. And this small but mighty Briggs is sturdy enough to have the weight on top of it and still glide with ease! Also, it's the ultimate flexible luggage piece that I can also use the integrated handle attachment system on my other Briggs and Riley carryon suitcase. And Briggs lifetime warranty really can't be beat, they just replaced some zipper pulls on my black suitcase in the photo after over 10 years of heavy travel (1K on United). The cons:- no laptop sleeve on the Briggs. I brought an iPad instead, but smaller laptops (up to 14" very snugly) fit in the sleeve of the front flap, unpadded.- the price, especially if you spring for the peak designs packing cubes which are a lifesaver.
