Good slide holder, but some fixes needed.
Good slide holder, but a few changes needed in the slide holder and also the Titan scanner. 1. The holder is hard to open, but this can be fixed. There are 3 click locks that are like hooks which keep the holder closed. These hooks are too long and make it hard to open the holder. The fix is to take a file and file down the 3 hooks some. This fixes the problem. 2. The slide holder needs 4 slide position markers to help align the slide holder in the Titan to help center each of the 4 pictures. The markers can be added, but the manufacturer should do this. 3. The holder does not slide evenly through the Titan due to a plastic tab in the Titan which sticks down in the center of the holder to help hold the slide holder in position. The Titan tab contacts the slide holder in the closed areas of the holder, but not in the open areas of the slide windows which it does not contact. This makes for very uneven movement to pass the slide holder through the Titan. The fix is to move the plastic tab in the Titan to the side of the holder and not have it over the open slide windows. If the Titan tab is off to the side where it connects the slide holder all the time, this will fix the problem and make the slide holder pass evenly through the Titan. Hope the manufacture will make these improvements which users will really appreciate, to make the slide holder even better.

After some reviews I was worried but honesty best thing ever for slides.
I read all the reviews before buying. Really wanted to get the best item for quality. So far I've done over 200 slides. I'm still having to "doctor" them up in iPhoto but it's working amazingly. I would recommend buying the extra (longer holds more) slide adapters but the one that comes with it is also useful. Some slides to thick, warped, whatever won't fit in the longer ones well but he single that comes with it works on every slide. Also the longer adapters that hold 4 slides at a time (I think they came in a set of 3) sometimes will cut off part of the slide. So especially some portrait view (up and down) vs landscape view (side to side) slides need to go thru the single adapter side ways and then you need to rotate it in iPhoto as to not cut off the top. I have started playing with the super8 adapter it works but not gonna lie that one will take you a while. I've been taking a screen shot every 16 frames. I've done about 8-12 inches of film so far. Patience is what I'd recommend for that one. Thinking about buying an old super8 projector and filming it off the wall with my iPhone we'll see. I will say I did that with some slides before I bought this (used my slide projector and thru the images on some rag art paper I have and shot it with my iPhone) much better quality with the wolverine. It's not the iPhone did a great job but the old projector just didn't have enough resolution for printing. This wolverine does. Buy it you'll love it

Works as designed - but slides in plastic mounts have to be forced
This works as designed - holds 4 slides, and fits the Wolverine Titan scanner. However, This (same as the original Wolverine slide-holder that comes with the scanner) are designed for slides mounted in a CARDBOARD frame. IF your slides re so mounted - this works great. If (like me) you have slides that were mounted in plastic frames, for more durability, note that they have to be forced since the plastic mount is just SLIGHTLY thicker than the cardboard one. It CAN be done, but you have to be careful, and I think it a matter of time before this causes me to break a hinge on one of these. I can see the unit bulge a bit every time

Difficult to Manipulate
This was for my 84 year old Dad to use for his slide to digital picture project. It was difficult for him to manipulate this product. He was much happier with the single slide holder that came with the slide converter machine.

You need these if you're going to scan more than a handful of slides
I bought these to try to speed up the process of digitizing LOTS of slides.Once you load up these trays, which, aside from sorting and orienting the slides, is the most tedious part of digitizing, they really do make the process go quicker.I've got 6 of these trays. They work so much quicker than the stock single feeder tray that Wolverine includes with their scanners.Recently we scanned a collection of slides using a team approach: one person sorted and loaded and two others scanned. We were prepared for a 3-bag cookie workout but found we were done after a bag-and-a-half.One caveat: when these trays are snapped close, they are really snapped close. It takes some practice to easily open them back up again, but that is quickly mastered.I recommend them if you are going to scan more than a handful of slides at a time.

they fit the old slide converter perfectly
I found the ones I thought I had misplaced but getting more allowed me to load them all up and process the slides faster. My mother was a camera bug and we ended up with tons of slides to push into the digital age. the device also makes some color adjustments on it own and the slides look better than the actual slides
