Invest in quality control, BUT mechanically sound...so far
The media could not be loaded. Neotec n872 Discouraged right out of the box. Same as the first saw (n892) had the same issues, sharp edges and smelled like gasoline. I haven’t put this together or started it yet so I’ll be back to give my final rating but it’s not looking so good right out the box. You guys need to do a better job with your quality control. View the video to see my complaints. I give it 2 stars for now Stay tuned…..UPDATE:Saw did start rather easily. there isn't a primer ball so the first time will take a few extra pulls to get the gas thru the line. But once it gets cranked for the first time, it has been starting after 2 or 3 pulls. paired it with a 25" neo-tec bar and its still light enough to use for an extended period without much fatigue. the saw is pretty strong and cuts thru 20" logs with ease. the gas cap, oil cap, and choke switch is very flimsy and i felt as though i was going to break them from just normal operation. the chain tensioner is also cheap feeling and feel like its stripped already but the bar moves so i guess its just not very smooth when using. probably will get oem chain tensioner, gas & oil caps before these brake because these will not last long. the other thing im going to do is im going to take off all the plastic and sand all the sharp edges from the overpoured plastic that wasnt removed during fabrication. overall im happy with the purchase at the price point i got it for. ($219.00 powerhead) ill update if something changes or after some time passes to speak on the mechanical quality then.

Great value. Does the job.
This saw is a great value in terms of what you get for the money. I also own a Stihl and Husqvarna in smaller sizes. I had a 4' diameter tree that they couldn't handle, so I bought this Neo-Tec. This powered right through with its 28" blade. The saw is not under-powered and did a good job.I will still use my other saws when trunk or branch size does not require the larger saw for two reasons. First, check the weight to see if it's suitable for you. It is not a light saw and it can wear you out. Second, it's details are not quite as refined as my other saws. For example, the blade tensioner is harder to get set on this saw, and the fuel and oil caps are more finicky. I'm giving it four stars and that might be a bit low, because it does work and work very well. After a couple cords of large wood, I think it's fantastic. I am curious how I will feel in year or two.

Powerful chainsaw
This chainsaw was very easy to set up and put together. The chainsaw is flawless straight out of the box. Then, what are you doing? I’m gonna put I’ll be purchasing. I’ll be purchased some more in the future!

Powerful, reliable saw for less $ than name-brand competitors
I have traditionally shyed away from gas engines, due to years of challenges starting and repeated shoulder injuries preventing me from being able to properly start gas engines. I desparately needed a powerful saw to do some milling, and decided to take a chance on the Neotec 872 with 28" bar. I followed some recommended steps in preparing the saw for startup, and after only 5 pulls, it sputtered as hoped. Switched to half-choke and one pull later the saw fired up as hoped. Can't wait to really get to trying it on my first milling job.

Strong Saw
Just back from cutting a cord if oak and cord of pine on my first trip out with the new saw. Here's what I found. Initially the saw was hard to start, partly due to poor instruction manual which differs from the actual saw delivered. Once I figured out the 3 position choke/run/stop switch--which is cheap plastic and likely to break--it ran strong and cut well. Body has more plastic than led to believe, and tool kit helpful but unclear what most items are for. Accessories are thoughtful, but cheap and unneeded. If Neo-Tec wants to improve bundle, hold the junk and throw in a second chain.

Decent
Bar and cover would not go on. Found screw machined off center. Had to file screw into a square drive head. Otherwise it has ran great.

Good for the price.
Not bad for the price. Not to heavy. Did end up buying a new chain after 2nd use. Chain that comes with will not hold an edge to save it's life. But so far I've done 6 cord of wood and no issues.

Arrived with no bar or chain
I assumed from reading the description that this saw came with a bar and chain but I didn’t receive the bar or chain when the package arrived.
