I bought this product because it uses thermoelectric cooling and I was curious to see how well it worked.  I was very pleasantly surprised.  This device gets ice cold, and it does it fast.  It takes just seconds to get to what feels like as cold as ice.   It is an ideal cold pack/ice pack replacement.  It is light, and small enough to easily carry around where needed.  I need to ice down my knees during the breaks when playing tennis.  Having an ice pack available on the court has always been a struggle; but with this product I can literally have an ice cold knee cooler whenever and wherever I need one.  I really like the product and I give it 5 stars.

Very clever device. It works instantly just as advertised. It is also surprisingly handy.

The media could not be loaded.  So, while the plate does get cold, the casing gets warm especially on the output. The fact you need the usb cable and an external battery that you need to find some where to put is also not great. Plus you have to manually turn on battery to get power as well.Does it cool, well like I said the plate gets cold and that spot will be cool, but as far as cooling the body I am not sold. I am sweating outside with it in my leg. Upper thighs is cool, but rest of me is hot.I will chalk it up as good idea that needs more work. I have seen another one online that goes around neck with a rechargeable battery, I think that one would work better, at least for me.Did not keep me cool in Florida. And I have to say again the output blows hot air and the casing gets very warm almost to the point I took it off not to burn skin. Again good idea needs work.

I am truly, truly amazed with this product! Yes, I would recommend it 100% for sore knees, elbows, shoulders, whatever needs icing but I have trouble being in the heat. In recent years it has been increasingly difficult for me to travel or even take day trips without major planning. I received the Comfort Cooler Mini the day before an outside drum competition so I put it to the test. IT WORKED! Between my umbrella and the comfort cooler I lasted through the day. It was wonderful!I really can’t believe how cold this gets! The first time I tried it at home I left it to sit while I went into the kitchen was gone for roughly 10min and there was a thin layer of frost on it when I got back. I usually use it on the back of my neck or chest, although I have tried it on my wrists as well, it only takes a short time, 3-5 min to cool me down. I now keep it with me all the time. I have never had the power pack go dead, it has great battery life. I do have to say I am very grateful that I found this product.

I bought this product to have something cold when it gets warm. I'm a hot person, so l am often uncomfortable when it's the slightest bit warm. When I use the product, I don't use the mounting strap, as I just hold it to my forehead or to the back of my neck. I was surprised how cold it got and how fast it got cold. It was cold in literally 4 or 5 seconds after turning it on.While it's obviously not cooling me as much as being inside of a room with strong air conditioning, it definitely feels great on a warm day. I also like how its small enough to bring anywhere, has a multi-hour battery, and does not make much noise. As long as you are not expecting it to cool as much as turning your car A/C on full blast, I think that people will be more than satisfied with the product.My only complaint is that I need to physically hold the device to my head, which is where I like to have it cooling me. I could use the mounting strap to hold it to my head, but it looks far too strange in this manner. For this, I subtract one star; because I can tell that it was designed to mount to something like a knee or arm and not a head. Even in the Amazon pictures, the person is physically holding it to their head. That being said, the little device does a great job of quickly getting cold.

I just purchased a second unit. My first one was a gift and didn’t come with a power pack so I used it in the house while plugged into my phone’s wall charger via a USB cord. I’m a avid gardener living in Central Texas where the summers are sweltering. Last summer I would garden in the heat as long as I could stand it then go in the house, collapse into my recliner and place the mini cooler on my wrist, my jugular, the back of my neck…anyplace where blood vessels ran close to the skin….all the places I used to place an ice pack. The mini cooler cooled me off quickly just as if I was using an ice pack but it doesn’t drip water down my neck and make a mess the way an ice pack does. It gets super cold in a matter of seconds and stays cold as long as it’s attached to a power source…which for me was forever since I was plugged into my house’s electricity via my phone charger.One time I was using it on my wrist when I realized it wasn’t cold any longer; I couldn’t feel it cooling my wrist. I pulled the device off my wrist, touched the cooling plate and it was ICE cold. At that point I realized my wrist was numb. It had been on the cooling plate so long I’d lost all sensation on the surface of my skin. THAT is a good cooling device!!! Now with the power pack, I anticipate my mini cooler will go with me anytime I have to be outside for an extended period during the oppressive Texas summer. It has a forever place in my life. Great device! Definitely 5 Stars.

I’ve started using the Comfort Cooler Mini instead of icing my muscle aches and minor injuries like golfer’s elbow. It has joined my foam roller and theracane as one of my favorite post-workout recovery devices. It straps on easily and creates a good cold compress but it doesn’t get so cold that it burns my skin. I also like that the Comfort Cooler Mini is compact, it does not create condensation and does not need to be stored in a freezer like ice packs do. For those reasons, I think it will be great for travel.
