Great value
This was a great buy. I was super excited about this product when it was announced, but I was not excited about the initial price. Luckily, it came down in price, and it made it an easy thing to recommend to the aspiring DMs out there.

I love it, but it has some quality issues.
First off, if you're looking for a DnD gift this thing is great. It stows nicely inside its own portable box and it looks great on the shelf when not in use. I really do like the static cling terrain pieces and the flexibility of having both a wildland and dungeon pattern on the mat and tiles. It gives you the ability to very quickly throw together any scene you can imagine and if the static clings do not have the exact thing you need you can just scribble it on using wet-erase markers because the mat and tiles are marker safe and can be wiped off. The portability was a big benefit to me as well because I can put it in my carry-on and take it with me when I travel for work and occasionally play with coworkers. That said, I did have a couple of issues that need to be mentioned. My kit's internal storage box was broken on arrival and I had to apply some super glue and use a clamp to get it back together to hold the contents. I should have returned it but I was playing that week and really wanted to use this terrain. I have heard of others who had similar box failures shortly after purchase. The other issue is that you cannot open and access the terrain case without completely destroying the outer packaging it comes in. This isn't a big deal to me, but it does diminish the long-term resale value for collectors because they will be stuck deciding whether they want to play with it or just stow it away for a few decades and never get to use it.If you or a friend wants to DM/GM any fantasy RPG then I would say the convenience of this Terrain Case is well worth the investment. My only major ask going forward is that Wizards of the Coast starts releasing static cling terrain sets for all new campaign books and starter sets. I'd happily keep buying sheets of clings to use with this kit and the included folder has plenty of room for more sheets to be added.

Economical way to populate your battle map
I managed to catch a sale from a 3rd party distributor, and they were very prompt in shipping. The outer box was a bit scuffed, but the inner box/carrying case was in perfect condition, and the product was new as promised. The sheets that come with the set are not stickers - they are clings. So they can easily be removed when no longer in use and placed back on the sheet they came with. There are also a few letters, numbers, and star clings that could be used to either differentiate between creatures of a similar type that there are multiple of or to set on a plain disc if you need it to represent more creatures than you have clings for. Common "horde" creatures do have multiples but less common creatures may come in pairs or singles (weirdly wolves only come in a pair, I felt there should have been at least two more). So similar looking icons or those extra stars might have to fill in from time to time. The removable tray for the cling folder is very spacious and could fit folded battle maps, a book (such as the MM), or other accessories, which makes the carrying case very convenient. The discs are kept in molded trays below the folder one and are in sufficient quantity for any session. With craft sticky-tabs, you could also print out unique monsters or NPCs to adhere to the discs as well, or even set a few aside for your player's tokens.I'll get a lot of use out of this case. One day when I have the time and money to invest in miniatures (whether buying pre-made or getting your own 3d printer and designing your own, it is an investment of time and money!) I may incorporate them more, but even so I suspect I'll keep using this case for multiple combatants that I wouldn't want to keep a ton of miniatures for.

Excellent bargain for the price
The sad part about this product is that it seems that the WotC has decided the concept was a failure, and thus do not appear to be making any more "clings" for other monsters/source books. For people who want homogeneity there is also the issue that I do not believe there are any hero clings available. That said, the tokens themselves are pretty good quality on their own, and the clings, numbers, letters, etc. all make the tokens a great deal. We've been using them to great effect so far. Given these sets can be found significantly discounted from their original list price...There is also the possibility that one might be able to print on some sort of cling material at home (from your own image libraries). I haven't had much luck finding a setup that would work for that, but it would make these sets even more useful if one could.

Bang for your buck
As a newer DND player and my spouse the DM this has been an easy great resource for our sessions. The stickers are easy to reuse on the bases. Would recommend this for any DND player or DM.
