Manage yourself not your time
I was struggling with an increase in lateness, and couldn’t understand why, as I used to be a punctual person. This book gave me not only answers, but applications.Found out I was a Time-bender, versus a Timekeeper. First step to solving a problem is admitting the problem. Understanding that our downfalls can become our superpowers (looking at you, Deadline Demon), Grace explains concepts with short chapters designed for people that want to change, or at the very least, understand why we do what we do. Especially when we do it, while chronically, unintentionally.People have seen me reading this book, and they immediately go, “That’s me!” So glad I nabbed a copy before it sold out, one of my buddies ordered the last copy. Please reprint to save our fellow Time-Benders!

This brilliant book takes a really different approach to other time management books
I read this compelling book very quicky, the author really gets the situation and some of the early chapters had me laughing out loud in painful recognition. While reading the book I was able to smugly text a late friend that it was fine they were late. I was happily half an hour early which is unheard of for me! I have found some of the actionable steps useful, especially thinking about time to transition out of the door, which I always used to believe was about minus five minutes. It has also made me start to think more about whether I should agree/try to squeeze the extra thing at all. Often the answer if I think about it beforehand while calm is a totally obvious no. I am still a work in progress but do buy this fantastic book, it helped me somewhat in the weeks since reading it and I expect it will help you too.

Fabulous book.
This book clearly describes what I have always known but tried to deny and overcome. It helps me appreciate the benefits of being a time bender and how best to use it to my advantage.

Highly recommended to anyway who finds being on time a challenge
This book has been a revelation, helping me to understand my relationship with time. I have always struggled to be on time, although when there is a serious deadline I somehow mange to meet it. Grace gives so many examples of Timebender's behaviour that really resonate and I've lived myself. The book has practical suggestions to help overcome the challenges Timebenders face (the thousands of classic 'Time Management' books have never worked for me). I now understand why I am always rushing and I have already had some success in following the tips on how to improve. I'm certainly excited to develop my understanding of being a Timebender and how to improve, and I highly recommended this book to anyone who struggles with being on time. Thanks Grace for a real eye opener!

What Stephen Covey doesn't address IS IN this book--chronic lateness in otherwise effective people
I've dipped through many books on productive business habits, but Grace Pacie puts the very visible problem (although MANY of us don't recognize ourselves) of chronic lateness on the table. Now I understand why lists don't help me, and how I seek out distractions rather than getting one job done. The good news is in the Tool Box where I found ideas that I can actually use. I'm not the type who responds to Stephen Covey's methods but I can find some carrots to hang at the end of my tasks...and I have learned to be kinder to my Time keeper husband.
