Twilight Garden 20 Postcards: Published in Sweden as "Blomstermandala"

Really, this is 17 Postcards to Color
The designs are well done, and I like that some have black backgrounds - which will really make the colors pop. Postcard coloring works well for me as the smaller size makes finishing designs more manageable, and some I do send to friends as conversational snail mail.I saw comments about pre-colored pages and thought they were meant as samples/ideas (a couple of books I have did include some inspiration samples).Sadly, these pre-colored ones are included in the "20 Postcards to color" promised on the cover. Disappointing. If they reprint this book, I hope they actually have 20 cards to color, not 17.

Lovely Coloring Book, Fast to Color, Great Experience!
This was my first set of coloring postcards, so I wasn't quite sure to expect. I do not not own the original (large) version of Twilight Garden, although I have seen lots of flip-thoughs on YouTube, and I wasn't sure what the postcard-size would be like.Wow! I love this set of postcards!! And in fact, they make me want to buy the full-size of the book. :)Postcard coloring is wonderful for those times that you want to color and finish a page, but you don't want to take days or weeks to complete it. If I was using gel pens or markers, I could finish many in less than an hour. My favorite medium is colored pencil, and they take longer, but they can still be completed pretty quickly. These pages are cardstock and are one-sided so they handled everything I tried -- colored pencils, watercolor pencils, water-based markers, gel pens and alcohol markers. I did have some bleed-though on the alcohol markers (they bleed through everything anyhow), but it was less than expected. I'd still use a blank page underneath the page you are coloring, though. There was some minimal buckling with the watercolor pencils, but nothing that would keep me from using them. There are a couple of pages that are pre-colored. The whole point of a coloring book is to color it yourself -- but I did figure out a use for them. They are fun to embellish! On some of the pages the line art is very fine, so you will need very sharp colored pencils or fineliners. But most of the book is reasonably sized as far as that goes. All in all, a great book. I had such a good experience that I have bought other postcard coloring cards. This book is my favorite.

Love these cards!
I bought these cards (2 packs!) for a relief society activity where we colored them and then wrote notes to lift others. It didn't bother me that some of the cards were already colored, because I know coloring is not everyone's thing, so for my purposes it was perfect. I like that there was variety, some pages with white backgrounds and some with black and it was a really nice cardstock. I am only knocking off a star because there was a sticky residue from when I took them out of the book. Idk if that would make it a problem when mailing or not, it's a minor thing.

Good quality stock, beautiful images
During this stay at home order because of the virus, I've been colouring a lot more and decided to mail a few out to friends I don't write snail mail too. This is my first postcard book that has black as the backgroundI wasn't sure if I'd like this but I added two photos of my colouring and I love it.I will be honest and say I'm not to happy with having cards already coloured hence the 4 stars review

Stunning!
This is my favorite coloring book because the artwork is STUNNING and the postcard size is convenient. I took this on a girls weekend trip and everyone favored this artist over all of the others I brought. Also, the pages with black background are different and look beautiful when done.

Agree
I have to agree with those who were disappointed that three cards are already colored. I bought the cards to color myself. I wish I had read the reviews (I usually do but for some reason didn't this time, wouldn't you know it!) I probably would not have purchased this set.On the plus side, the cards are beautiful and I'll enjoy coloring the ones that aren't already colored in.

My Favorite Postcards to Color
Loved the black background. It made the pictures that I colored stand out so much nicer. Especially bold colors. I hope Maria Trolle puts out more twilight garden post cards. They are beautiful. On the photo below is one of the twilight garden pictures and some of the tags I colored for Christmas.

20,17,16 whatever :)
So yes 3 of the 20 images already have a bit of a strange coloured "effect" (so the claim 20 images to colour is misleading) not to my taste and to be honest one of the images I personally don't like.HOWEVER the remaining images are a joy and are on robust card allowing the use of various mediums. I use the postcards for extra note space and to personalise journals and as bookmarks - so for my choice of use it matters not at all if 4 go in the bin.I have all Maria Trolle's books and her images give me hours of pure pleasure :)

Coloured in pages included in this
I have purchased loads of other postcard books and all this artists books and was stumped to see some pages already coloured I guess with her artwork which in a 20 page book I think is a bit wrong I don’t want a colouring in page to colour I want it entirely available as the coloured in pics would of liked to add my own colour too , so really it’s a 17 page postcard book but I hope the artist doesn’t do this in her other postcard books as be nice to colour the whole book myself

Very tiny colouring areas, wonderful thick paper!
Overall, I really like this set of postcards. As others have noted, some of the images are actually photographs, so you can't colour them yourself. I like the images, though, so I don't mind too much. They can inspire colour schemes for the ones you can colour! The designs are lovely, but rather than reproducing small areas of the full size designs from the regular sized colouring book, the publishers have shrunk the full size designs to fit the postcard size. This makes them a bit challenging to colour! I find myself sharpening my pencils very often....Something really great, if you like to work with watercolour pencils or paints, is that the paper is quite a bit thicker than what you usually get in a colouring book (more like a postcard). So as long as you have a really tiny brush, that is a great way to colour these images! I'm having lots of fun with that!I would have preferred small details of the full-size designs, but I'm not sad that I bought this!

Ideas for proper discription of book
I was disappointed to find 3 already colored pictures, as it is not mentioned in the description and I strongly feel that it should be.Otherwise is a nice book with both white and black back drops. I hope the Author see`s this and does put it in the description and maybe shows the ones that are done or explain why it was done as I am confused by the ones that are colored. I could see maybe doing one on an inside cover.I did not get 20 to color I got 17. that would be my other thought add 3 not colored so the Customer still gets 20. may still buy her books as the work is beautiful
