Bassetts Vitamins Woman 50+ Multivitamins & Multiminerals Orange & Lemon Flavour 30 Gummy Pastilles

I don’t like swallowing tablets so fruity gummies are ideal for me. For years I have taken Bassetts Adult chewable multivitamins, but when I saw they made chewable gummies tailored for Women over 50, I thought I’d give them a go. The only slight downside is the flavour ‘Orange & Lemon’ - I much prefer the ‘Raspberry & Pomegranate’ flavour of the adult gummies. That said the upsides far out way my taste preference. I feel more energetic and now I know I’m getting the correct vitamins for a Women of my age. The attached photo details the vitamins in these gummies (left, purple packet) compared with the vitamins in the generic Adult gummies which I was previously taking. There are a lot more ‘targeted’ vitamins, eg:- Vitamin D for bones is 3 times as much, recognising that older women are at higher risk of low bone density. The price on Amazon is excellent, very competitive, also long dated until June 2026. Highly recommended.

These definitely work , my energy levels pick up and I feel so much better overall.

Noticeable difference. Dont have to take with or after a meal. tast nice and no side effects. No need to take extra vitamin D.

I normally buy the Bassetts 'Adult' Vitamins (red box) but as a 50+ woman was attracted by the 3 for 2 offer on these which are specifically formulated for women aged over 50. The vitamin balance is different to the 'Adult' vitamins with the addition of B1 (30% of recommended daily intake), B3 (15%), Vitamin K (15%) plus the addition of Biotin, Chromium, Copper, folic acid, iodine, iron, manganese, molybdenum, selenium and zinc at 15/30/100% of recommended daily intake. I feel they are more comprehensive. However, this comes at a price with the current 'Adult' multivitamins priced (excluding promotions) at £7 for 60 (12p each) versus £9.59 per pack of 30 for the Women 50+ multivitamins with minerals making them quite expensive at 32p each. The pastille format ensures they are very easy to take, especially for women who have difficulty swallowing tablets or simply prefer to suck on a fruity pastille instead. I found the combined orange/lemon flavour to be very sweet, quite sharp and would have preferred a simple orange flavour instead. I took advantage of the 3 for 2 offer in late August so was surprised to see my three packs printed with a best before date of December 2022. Other pastilles from the range normally have at least a 12 month shelf-life so I assume these were older stock and was glad I didn't buy 6 packs instead of three. Due solely to the higher price and over-sweet/sharp flavour of the 50+, I alternate between the Women 50+ and Adult pastilles daily but if the price were lower and 50+ flavour revised for an adult palate, I would prefer the latter due to the wider balance of multivitamins and minerals.

Chewies are the only way I can take vitamins which is an issue to me as I dislike the flavour of these and they don't do another flavour for 50+ luckily they are easy to chew and swallow or I wouldn't have finished them I will not be buying them again but am on the look out for better tasting ones!

This item may seem value for money, due to the low price offer,but when I opened the box and took one,the taste was a bit off. Checking the date,its best before end of November 25,which is only a few weeks away,as the date I received these were 10th November. The date was also covered with a bar code sticker,which makes me think this was deliberate to conceal the date.
