T-H MarineFCS-2-DP Sure Foot Trolling Motor Foot Switch

This thing stinks. Don’t waste your money. The one I got is very finicky. It doesn’t turn off after you let off the switch and is very difficult to get it to turn off. Then sometimes it intermittently turns on by itself.———update———I’m a tinkerer and I decided to start trying to fix this switch. I realized the button was sticking so I sprayed a little Teflon lube around the button and voila no more sticking! The switch now works as intended but I do have to squirt a little lube in there once a week or so as it does start to get sticky after a few fishing trips.

Ez to add ti my hand controlled electric motor.

Button works as it should but it wild occasionally stick. Only been using a couple months so disappointed that it's already sticking.

Bought this to replace a similar product that died. On the prior one, the wires were not secure in the pedal and the solder broke, so bought this to replace. This one lasted just over a month before the same thing happened. I was able to move the wires around enough to get the wire to contact the switch inside and tried some gorilla glue to hold everything in place, but the product is not durable and I would not buy again. Not sure if the other similar on Amazon is more durable/better built, but would not buy this one again. I suppose if your mount was able to secure the switch and the wires it might not happen, but in my setup there is some movement in the wire, so it's frailty is a big problem.

Easy to install, perfect screw alignment with original foot switch.

The switch works great. It is sensitive so no need to stand on it.

and he hasn't complained so they are probably ok.

BEING A FOOT CONTROL, but not using MY FULL WEIGHT, just my toe area with lite weight water shoes, the switch would not activate the [power] to trolling motor, had to play using different direction with toe force, now the bigfoot i replaced was in use for over 8 years, and this NEW ONE hasn't gone 8 trips since I received it, longest time 5 hrs fishing, it hasn't been subjected to rain/water nor salt water, living between Lake Erie/Ontario on an Island [Grand] about the middle of the Niagara River, what do you think a REPLACEMENT is needed ???

i have used it to control a home made crab pot winch. It works very well. I like the lock on feature.
