Each new batch of chickens introduced to the flock get a color for the year the were born (2024 was orange) and an additional band in a different color so I can tell them apart for health reasons.

These are great as long as they stay on but unfortunately after weeks of rating all the layers egg qualities for breeding purposes, the silly bands fell off of several of the hens. About 1 out of 5 fell off.

I was trying to duplicate a recipe book from 50 years ago and the binder on it was these chicken clips. So glad to have found them.

Love the expandable design. No more worries about becoming too small.

Way too big, they kept falling off. Also the ends were very sharp that they cut me, so I had to sand them down, which wasn't easy.

I like these leg bands because I know they won't come off.

After trying several bands for chickens and ducks these are my favorite. I band birds in selective colors for age and breed. I place up to 2 bands per leg, color log kept helps with breed and age (clutch). Make sure you select correct size for breed size of bird.Only negative thing I can say is they do fade to a lighter color over time.Easy to apply and the spiral application makes them not "dig" into the legs if they out grow them.
