Meat Tenderizer,304 Stainless Steel Heavy Sturdy Meat Mallet/Pounder/Hammer Tool(1.65lb)

I like to cook from scratch and we eat a lot of chicken. This mallet is perfect for tenderizing both beef and chicken. Not too heavy but heavy enough to make the pounding effective in a short amount of time. Very easy to clean by throwing in the dishwasher - no hidden crevices.

This mallet is heavy and large but has signs of either bad production or sloppy quality control. The textured end of the mallet is missing the outer coating. The handle is not 90 degrees to the head and is on a slight angle. The handle has 1 large and a bunch of smaller marks on it from manufacturing. Overall disappointed..

This replaced a long loved aluminum tenderizer that just did not get along with dishwasher. Came out covered in grey oxidation - yuck! This survives the dishwasher without a blemish. It's heavy, nearly a pound and a half. I Hhve to be careful not to smash through the meat I'm pounding. Gentle is the word of the day but it does the job and does it well. Great design. Easily cleaned even without the dishwasher. Hook to hang it. Good leverage and enough room so my knuckles don't hit the cutting board. We're considering keeping by the bed for protection should we have an intruder.

I have never owned this type utensil.It is amazing. I used on chicken breasts. The handle and weight are perfect for efficient easy use.Great product!
