Child Psychology: A Very Short Introduction (Very Short Introductions)

Excellent
Has all the information, backed by academic research that the other baby books have, but in fewer words, plain english, not talking down to you like an idiot and you can hold it in one hand while holding the baby in the other.

Mildly interesting, but scattered and superficial
Contains nuggets of useful information, but reads in a fairly scattered manner. Covers too broad an area and doesn't delve deep enough to provide very useful information. You are left with impression of having read a rather long table of content. I fully understand that this is a "very short" introduction, but I've read many works in this series and a much better balance between scope and depth can be attained.

Empfehlenswert!

Useful introductory text. Well structured and clearly written without jargon. Prior knowledge of the subject not necessarily required.
