Great stairs for the spa!
Exactly what I was looking for took about thirty minutes to assemble. Like other people mentioned it is a little difficult to get the plastic to snap into the groove, I used a hammer and a piece of 2x4 and that did the trick. I purchased these stairs because of the storage area to store the chemicals for the spa. Hoping it will last a few years, all plastic so it should.

Sturdy, attractive steps which should last
The steps were packed well and all parts included. I had a friend assemble them and the process took an average amount of time, certainly not quick. Instead of using a mallet which is suggested, he used the palm of his hand to gently pound parts together. I'm using the steps for a tall ice bath that is too difficult to step into without assistance. I bought this particular brand because of the handy storage in the top step and the durable plastic finish. The steps are a little pricey but well worth the peace of mind knowing they will last and be supportive.

Hard to put together if you’re not strong
Good just a little tough to get together!

Great fit and finish. Looks very nice.
Bought these as a gift for my daughter. Went together easily and looks very nice with her hot tub. Very sturdy.

DOES NOT come fully assembled!!!! Comes in pieces. Tools Required. WARNING!
I am giving this five stars because of how it functions as a finished product. However, it DOES NOT come fully assembled as currently advertised. It comes in pieces!!! Repeat: ASSEMBLY REQUIRED. WITH TOOLS. To assemble this thing, you need an electric drill and a wide rubber mallet. I cannot emphasize enough that you NEED that mallet to give it a few swift swats to make a few of the pieces fit (they're snug, as they probably should be for a weight-bearing step). A rubber mallet will not leave marks on this thing or break it, whereas a hammer might. The four screws are for four holes that are not predrilled. However, they are self-tapping screws, so if you're careful, you can drill them straight into the plastic in recessed indentations obviously molded for this purpose. Two of my screws did not go in easily because they ended up being a tiny bit crooked (and I'm not a novice with a cordless screwdriver -- just a normal guy in a typical hurry). But even so, the crooked screws still did their job -- the plastic seems to be fairly thick.Despite my gripe about the thing not coming fully assembled as advertised, it looks and functions fine. There is AMPLE space for my spa supplies in the 36-inch model (including tall bottles of chemicals) -- I'm extremely happy with the space. The storage space does not lock, so they advertise that you need to be wary of storing chemicals in it if you have kids (as if anyone with toddlers would let them play unsupervised around a spa that they could climb into with the help of those very steps -- duh! Lawyers.)Also, the color will look like plastic (semi-gloss in appearance). I bought the two-tone redwood steps and the redwood color looks lighter to me than in the pictures, even in the shade where my spa sits. But it's really not that bad -- but let's just say there's no hiding the fact it's plastic. It took only a few minutes to get used to and it looks sort of sharp and inviting. And it's a definite improvement over the rotting wood steps it replaced.P.S. I think it took me longer to write this review than it did to assemble the steps.

Bang for the buck
I bought these for steps for our hot tub and while I'm taller and don't have a problem getting in, my wife is vertically challenged and wanted some steps... Okay I can do that... So I go down to the local spa place and they have all kinds of these little storage step setups identical to these with one exception... They start out $350 for this same set and the bigger they are the more pricier they get! So naturally I'm like "You people are hopped up on the dooby!" Am I wrong?!?! So I order these storage steps off of Amazon, they arrived ahead of schedule and they were exactly as described. What really irritated me is that they were the identical steps at the spa dealers place without the crazy markup so I was happy to pick them up as cheap as I did. When you're putting these things together try to have a little patience and take your time. The instructions weren't the greatest and some of the parts look identical when in fact they are different. I would advise a pretty decent mallet and a screw gun but a fillips screwdriver will do the trick. This thing does snap together but it takes a pretty healthy whack from the mallet to do it.Anyhoo, these things stay outside year round and I keep rubber gloves and a fishnet in there and in the summer time I keep the chemicals in there too. Everything kept in the steps stays dry whether it be in the driving rain or all the snowfall we get here in northern Indiana. With all the snow we get, I expected the steps to be more icy and slippery since they were plastic but they have been amazingly slip resistant in the cold however your experience may differ.I am giving these storage steps 5 stars. They look good and serve their purpose as well as they are very sturdy and the bang for the buck is just awesome!
