I actually use this as a lower-height arm rest for typing from my recliner. The memory foam is firm/supportive, but has some give to it. The velvet is soft and attractive. Looks great as a lumbar pillow in the recliner when the chair is not in use. Gorgeous charcoal color. Wish there were a skinner (4") version, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

I purchased four different pillows from AMZ for use as a neck pillow. I've used a neck pillow for support when sleeping, and I use it for the entire night. I've had another pillow that I've used for 2 yrs now and it served its purpose, but it's not way too soft in the middle and no longer springs back to form. I purchased that same pillow again, but the manufacturer is using a less-dense foam, so it isn't as good as the new one I purchased.THIS PILLOW, the SLEEPPILLOW, is THE FIRST BRILLIANT PILLOW THAT I CAN RECOMMEND BECAUSE IT ACTUALLY WORKS! When I say it works, that means it actually provides support for your neck. I don't need a pillow that allows my neck to sink 50% - 75% into it when I lay my neck on it. That defeats the entire purpose. The SLEEPPILLOW was my actual salvation! When I lay my neck on this pillow, my neck only sank about 25% into the pillow, or less, but it was still soft enough to provide excellent comfort, and pliable enough to restore itself to its original, sturdy form every time I took my neck off of it. I have been using this pillow now for one week and the darn thing springs back to action every single time and doesn't lost it's shape, and my neck actually stays supported all night long. I am now officially IN LOVE WITH THIS PILLOW. To be clear, this is not memory foam. Memory foam is horrible for your neck (at least for mine), and my head/neck/face always sink deep into the pillow and they never provide sturdy support for my face or neck. If your purpose is to find a neck pillow that is super soft where your neck sinks into it and doesn't provide proper support to keep it lifted up (enough to say, read a book, comfortably, or watch TV), then go ahead and buy any of those memory foam pillows you see here on AMZ, or those other pillows that provide very weak support. I wanted a pillow where my neck would not sink more than 15% - 25% into the pillow, and would remain sturdy and keep it's shape and this one does the trick! I am a very happy customer and I'm IN LOVE WITH THIS PILLOW. Finally, something that actually does what it says it's going to do. Hopefully, you'll be just as happy as I am. This is a great neck pillow. I wish the fill was more dense as it does collapse from very little pressure. Overall it works good for what it is.

As other buyers have noted, this product has changed over time. Our first pillow, from about a year ago, was a very nice, velvety brown. This pillow is more gold than brown, and the fabric is more satiny, less like velvet. Also, it is less firm, though not overly squishy.

This is a beautiful pillow with a very soft covering. I was a bit dubious because it arrived in a flat envelope. No cause for concern--when it was removed from the package, it fluffed up perfectly. It is exactly what I wanted.

The memory foam is pretty soft, so it depends on what you are looking for as to whether that's a good or bad thing. Works great for my needs, so I bought a second one. I use them on either side of me as arm rests on my leather TV watching recliner and they work great and are very comfortable.

I purchased these pillows to serve as an armrest for my new sectional. These did not dissapoint. Well worth the cost. Sturdy and comfortable. The cover is removable for washing. The package is small but once opened you must give it a few minutes to bounce back to original size.

This is the best purchase! it is a soft velvet texture and the gray matches my leather couch perfect. It looks nice and not something I need to hide, just leave as a throw pillow. The support is amazing the memory foam bounces back and hold you in the position you want. I would order again! :o)
