AndersenStorm Door Botton Sweep Fin Weatherstrip

Handyman or (handy)woman?
Every couple of years the rubber sweeps guarding the line between our inside warmth and the outside cold gradually rip and fall off from the constant opening and closing of our otherwise wonderful Anderson storm door. This product really does solve the problem and at a decent price.Unfortunately, I have to get someone else to do the job of installing it, which requires un-crimping and re-crimping the metal slots where the sweep holder attaches to the underside of the door. All that seems to be required is a wide flat head screwdriver and a pair of pliers, so anyone more handi-capable than I should have no trouble doing the job themselves.

Not for older Emco doors
This is what is called for to replace strips on an older Emco storm door. Emco was or is owned now by Anderson. But on my door it has a double wiper in the one strip. This set has two wipers that are individual. Couldn't use. Can't find exact replacement anywhere.

Installation help
Works like a charm. Installation note: the metal guides that hold the sweeps in place may be purposely bent or crimped to prevent the sweep from sliding out. You'd have to unbend them to slide out the old ones and slide in the new ones.

Perfect!
Fantastic — just what I needed. Arrived quicker than expected and is definitely an Andersen original part! Now will order a sencond one for my front door. By the way, I did not even realize I had two seals at the bottom of my door! So I replaced both and, consequently, now no longer can see “daylight” under my door!!! Perfect and just trimmed off the excess!

Needed to block the draft
It's about the same price as direct from the manufacturer, but faster shipping with Prime.May 2019 was when I purchased this item. It is now February 2021, so almost 2 years on a sweep. Since my door uses 1, I have a spare for when it's time to do it again. Here we are, ready to use the second one, then I'll order another set soon. Some doors require 2 sweeps, some only 1. So, even if your door only uses 1, this should still work if you ha e the removable sweep channel. 3 screws on my Andersen and the sweep channel comes off the door. Pull the old one out, slide the new one in. Put it back on the door and adjust the height and tighten the screws. All done, good bye draft and bug space.

Quick install, reduced draft, and no more water blowing under the storm door
Super easy to install. The strips only come out of one end of the brass door sweep (hinge side for me, so i took that piece off of the door and polished it while i replaced the two strips. Reinstalled, fixed the height so they barely touch - that will keep them from breaking off in the future, but the old ones were pretty brittle after 13 years.

They don't ask if you want a single or dual sweep
Didn't fit. Was a dual sweep, mine is single. Didn't differentiate in the add. Went back and tried to find a single, no luck. Apparently they don't make a single!

Perfect for Anderson 4000 series screen door
This was a perfect replacement for my Anderson 4000 series screen door. I’m a little disappointed my first gasket didn’t last more than 3 years, hopefully this one will. It is super easy to install, just slide the old one out and slide the new one in.
