Not sold as waterproof but easy to remedy
This is not sold as waterproof but the housing is whole enough that all you have to do is fill the compartment with corrosion X and BAM Bob's your uncle!. I am using this for a pool gate. The sticker pad that came with it didn't work so good so it feel to the bottom of the gate pole where it sat in 3 inches of water for 12hrs. I retrieved it and still works like a champ. Just fill the housing with corrosion X and you are waterproof. Proven right here .....

I had problems getting installed in Vera Plus
First the DS100+ was not found in the pre-loaded config files on my Vera Plus, Should be no problem I just used the Generic Zwave device and included the device. I did not understand or realize it would show up as two devices, a motion detector and window / door sensor. That did not make sense to me so I removed it. Then took a couple more tries, and resetting the device I finally got it back in and configured using one of the two devices it installs. The motion sensor device reports the battery level and the Door sensor of course reports the status of open or closed. I like the profile of the device and using 2 AAA batteries is convenient for when they will need replacement. It works but will double the items in your Vera device list making it messy if you buy very many of them.

One out of two didn't work.
Very sporadic on when it works. I bought 2 and one works fine. The other one shows online on my smartthings v3 hub, but doesn't report state change. On opening or closing the door, it blinks 3 long times and not sure what that means. Returning one to make sure I didn't get a bad piece.

Great Battery Life
Battery lasts well over a year in my application. In shop where temps range from well below freezing to above 100 in summer. I have a repeater close to each one which may help.

Has become erratic
First, the documentation is poor, so it took some effort to figure out what I'm looking for in my software to detect an open door. Turns out the state transitioning from 23 to 22 is what I need. After working well for a few months, though, the switch is getting confused. Sometimes the closed door state is 22, but other times it's indicating a 23. Other times, I open the door and the state doesn't change at all.I've lost confidence in the device, so I'm either going to buy something else or rely on my motion sensors, which have been very reliable.

Works perfectly
I used this to automate the light in a pantry. I use Hubitat as my automation hub. This was recognized and works perfectly.

Absolutely does NOT work with SmartThings
A nice device. Won't work with SmartThings.

These sensors work great to allow room automation based on door usage
These door sensors were very easy to install and add to HomeSeer. I now have 8 sets of these in use. I use them to notify me when any exterior door is opened. I also use them to turn on the closet lights when the door is opened.
