Definitely pleased
I've been playing for about a year. I began using a wooden "swinger" paddle which felt fine enough in my hands. I seemed to play ok and it did the job through this beginning phase of playing. But after awhile I began to want a new paddle. I was rather bewildered at the range of choices out there. So I began reading reviews and articles, watched a few videos, etc. Went to Dick's to see how they felt in my hand. I tried playing with some other paddles for a few rounds borrowed from some people where I played. None of the paddles really seemed to call out to me. Some I really didn't like at all, preferring the ol' wooden job to theirs. Something about this Bainbridge seemed right to me. I liked the fact that it was edgeless, and I liked the color too. The price also seemed right, having similar sounding features as well as size and weight compared to paddles that were fully twice as much. So, after much indecisiveness, I finally hit the buy button on it. As soon as I got it, I tried it out and was pretty surprised at how much better it felt playing with it. Quicker responses, nice power and good control. I've had it for about a month, and I hope it lasts and is durable. Only time will tell on that one. This is a real review, just to let y'all know. Somehow I'm always wary about that sort of thing, what with all the fakery out there nowadays ;)

Surprisingly happy with paddle - very happy with price
I have been playing for a number of years and have a couple of paddles in my bag. This is the lightest paddle I have used in years in addition to costing 50% less than my average price. I like the feel of the paddle and have noticed a quickening of hand speed, probably due to lightness. My serves go just as deep but cross the net lower than before. I like the touch and the ability to take speed off a slam and dink it. Happy with the paddleI have to edit this review because recent play on hard surface outside courts has caused the edge to scar and chip when the paddle scrapped the court surface. I do not know how or if this will eventually impact the face of the paddle. I may just use it indoors...

Great quality product for a good price. Highly recommend!
Overall, I am very satisfied with this paddle. It is lightweight in comparison to my previous paddle of choice and has a great quality grip. I've used this paddle in several practice sessions and tournaments now, and am happy with its feel and responsiveness. This was the first rimless paddle I've used and am torn between the positive that I can hit a ball even on the edge and the negative that it is easily a little banged up on the edge.

light and easy to use
I enjoy this paddle, however, it's not likely to last long. It chipped immediately before I even had opportunity to use it. It does play very well, and is so light and nice. It seems to be able to put a nice spin on the pickleball. During the game, we players often click our paddles together congratulating a good play. I find covering my paddle, because it chips so easily. I wish they could make this exact paddle that would not chip at the slightest bump.

This is nice and light weight plus it is rimless which I ...
I'm only started to play a couple months ago and was borrowing a paddle to play with so decided to get my own. This is nice and light weight plus it is rimless which I really like. The handle is on the large size but is comfortable to me and is tacky enough to that it doesn't slip when you get sweaty palms. It has a reassuring pop to it and seems to be a consistent hitter. The included case is a bonus and appears to be of decent quality. Not sure about more experienced players but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this for those that are less experienced.

Amazingly Fragile paddle.
I really really liked this paddle. I bought this paddle because I liked the idea of having an aluminum core paddle. I thought it might create a similar effect to a baseball bat which is super light weight, durable and can hit a baseball very far. I thought it might be some kind of overlooked tech so I wanted to try it. The first order I was sent an empty box, it didn't even have tape on one side and the box was partially open. I do not live in an area where people steal, I can guarantee it was delivered empty.Anyway I got a refund and reordered. I was pleasantly surprised by the lightweight paddle and the nice thick grip. It seemed like it might be fragile so I started a return but after volleying with the wife in the house a little I decided to go ahead an play it instead. Boy was I surprised. It is a really sensitive paddle and using it over this past month my game improved. (I am a novice, play maybe a 3.0) 0ther than the chips and scrapes from defensive digs I had no complaints. I completely forgot about returning it. That was until recently I was playing doubles with a lefty, our paddles collided a couple of times due to the nature of the game and us both going for forehand strikes, but nothing serious as my partner had a $200+ high end paddle and hers came out unscathed. I got home and pulled my paddle out of the case and noticed, in utter disbelief, the face was dented in 2 spots. One dent on the edge and one right smack in the middle. They are small but they are still there. I am baffled by this, I know aluminum to be a "softer" metal but full on dents from tapping someone else's padde? I don't care about scrapes, scratches or what the paint looks like after playing but dents to me is no good. I have had this paddle less than 30 days, and played with it less than 20 hours. This kind of damage is unacceptable for regular use, and for a 40 dollar paddle. I have a 40 dollar Brooklyn pickleball co. paddle that my 3 year old throws on the ground and into bushes and as high as he can AT the ball I toss to him, and other than being scratched it is completely fine. I will re-attempt a return on this while I still have time. If not I will cut this sucker open for all of you to see the inside and we can see how this thing was actually made.
