My favourite gin
I was fortunate enough to try this gin whilst staying at a hotel near to the North Coast Distillery. I visited the Distillery and attended the tour ( highly recommended) and was given the opportunity learn about the distilling method and botanicals used in the production of this amazing gin. I, of course, left after purchasing some, and have ordered it again 4 times! It is my favourite โgo toโ gin, I am not a fan of flavoured gins, and prefer gin to be unsweetened and taste like gin, and this gin suits my palate perfectly. I highly recommend.

Brilliant Small-Batch Gin
This is a really delicious Gin, especially if paired with the specific tonic variety recommended on the back of the bottle. A really light, zesty, fresh taste, and really drinkable, both with regular tonic and more exotic varieties. Itโs always a bit special to have a small-batch spirit, and the bottle I received had hand-written biro numbering on the back which I really enjoyed.

London Gin From Scotland
Gin is big business, and while supermarkets catch on and default to the big distilleries, there are plenty of treats to be had in the "craft" creators all over the country. Don't feel obliged to go with the same old brands if you can push the boat out with an extra tenner to go for something like this. Support a local industry and impress your friends with a gin they won't have seen before (unless you are in Caithness!)

Excellent gin from the north of Scotland
Smaller / craft distilleries are playing an increasingly significant role in the UK spirit market, and long may the trend continue.Produced near Crosskirk Bay on the north coast, this is an excellent gin. First impressions, with the nicely textured, slightly tapered bottle, complete with decent wood-topped cork are good, while the lack of plastic in the packaging (seal is provided by a straightforward, tightly fastened adhesive paper label) is always good to see. Labeling, though colourful, is not lurid and actually of quite a simple, attractive design that suits a clean, fresh gin. Which this most certainly is. Crisp, nicely dry, lots of citrus -the orange oil, pine resin and juniper are distinctive, the anise mentioned a slight warming background. The hint of saltiness is present giving a good 'maritime' feel which I like, and balances the finish very nicely. This is a gin that could be enjoyed as-is; but is particularly good in a traditional gin and tonic, either with the suggested grapefruit twist, lemon, or (if you can find it) bergamot. It also is ideal in a classic martini, or a greyhound cocktail with freshly squeezed grapefruit, or a blood-orange greyhound. Very good, and highly recommended.

Stunning gin. ๐ธ๐ธ[70แถหก, ABV 45.1% Alcohol]
Gin! I can see why there was the "Gin Craze" in the first half of the 18แตสฐ century. I can also see why recent growth of it has shot up to total gin sales in the UK hitting ยฃ1'000'000'000 in 2016; 47'000'000 bottles of the stuff in 2017, and the number of distilleries has increased by 127% in five years to 315 in total. It tastes lovely. Don't get me wrong, there are still some real "Bathtub/Mother's Ruin" horror shows out there, but a good gin, either neat or mixed nicely is a bit of a treat. Not all good gins are good for all occasions though. One of my favourites makes a great G&T but a lousy martini. I hadn't tried "๐ช๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐ณ๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ซ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐๐" by "๐ต๐๐๐๐ ๐ท๐๐๐๐ ๐ซ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐" up in Crosskirk Bay in Caithness before. But its a lovely part of the country & I've visited there often. The bottle arrived in one of Amazon's little cardboard bottle boxes. Inside the box is a traditional Dutch "jenever" shaped bottle in textured clear glass. The stopper is wood & cork with a paper tax seal & no plastic. The label is some sort of transfer with an attractive green & blue stormy seascape. Its small batch gin so my bottle & batch number are hand written; this one being, This 70แถหก bottle is ABV 45.1% so a little stronger than usual fare. Crosskirk Bay gin is unusual in that it is a molasses based spirit rather than grain. It has 17 botanicals including juniper, lemon peel, grapefruit peel, sea buckthorn, rowan berries, lemon verbena, cardamom, pink peppercorns, Scots pine [from their 1993 Christmas tree that they planted out in their garden] & Icelandic moss. It quite citrus forward & I really noticed a salty kick to it from its maritime location which is refreshingly nice. In fact every-time I open the bottle or take a sip I get a whack of seaside ozone. Nice drunk in the modern Dutch, Jenever way served from the freezer with ice like vodka. Great paired with fresh citrus like orange or grapefruit juice. Makes a cracking G&T with good tonic, ice & a slice. Though my favourite is in a pre-dinner Gibson. This one bottle has pretty much converted me to it from my usual brand, so I'll definitely be buying it again, both for myself & as a gift. There other gin brands out there, maybe too many some would say. But if you want a treat of an incredibly clean & tasty gin then I'd say at least give this one a try. The price is good for a small batch gin at ยฃ35.00 for 70แถหก, I'll be buying another next month! ๐ธ๐ธCin cin! or should that be Slร inte mhath a charaid.

Fab
I usually follow a low carbohydrate lifestyle and classic Gins have no carbs . However, flavoured , citrus or botanicals gins something have carbs / sugars so I wanted to find out how many carbohydrates in this gin but unfortunately I couldnโt find anything written on this page maybe I was a little bit impatient I also went onto their website and I couldnโt see anything so Iโm slightly disappointed that I canโt tell how many carbohydrates they are in this lovely bottle of gin. Just to be clear there is no denying that this gin is absolutely divine.
