Buy it!
Scratch is a graphical coding language (so easy a kid can learn it), however, this book is not only for kids, it will teach you concepts that most college courses cover. It is for preteen, teen, or adults.Forget the bad reviews that point out only cosmetics/personal moaning, the book is a resolute tool for programming.

Intermediate level book
Definitely not for beginners. Good book on intermediate concepts. Found myself relearning some geometry. Really gets you thinking with the option to just look up the author's solutions which are available on the Scratch website. Not a negative point for me but note that the book is not color but I think the Kindle edition is.

Good to teach you the basics
I disagree with the description of "advanced". I found the projects at a beginner to intermediate level, and not challenging to figure out

Seems Good
This seemed like a good guide. However, my student wasn't too interested in it... maybe more pictures?

Is this Scratch 3.0?
There is Scratch, scratch 2, and (the latest), scratch three. I want to know if this is for the third version, thanks :)

A great resource to explore and code!
Scratch is clearly the best first language for anyone who wants to learn programming. While a lot of books and online material show how Scratch can be used by elementary school kids for simple animations and games, there isn't much out there to show Scratch's potential as a platform for doing challenging work. This book fills that gap. It assumes that reader already knows Scratch (although the writer has provided a supplement that describes basic concepts), and provides a series of interesting and challenging projects. What I like the most is the easy tutorial-like fashion in which each chapter shows how to build the program step by step. There is a uniform methodology that you get to learn as a side-effect. I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants to get ready for high school computer science.
