Versatile watch that has a more unique look
Casual or dress this works. Build quality was spot on. Good bezel movement and typical Seiko quality luminescence. A nice bluish green glow.

The watch will fit if you have large wrists. Regular watches don’t work for me and this did!
This watch is very attractive in person. Reserve lasts a long time. I have very large wrists and it fits perfect without adding links. Love it. Great everyday automatic watch!

Great watch, slightly different than the photos.
The watch is absolutely beautiful, but the face is slightly "browner" than I thought it was from the photos. I thought the face would be plain black, with a cream boarder, and a black bezel, but the face is more of a black fading to a brown-black, a cream border, and a white bezel. I don't think that is a bad thing, as it really does look great. Definitely fits that 007 aesthetic without being a copy, I just wish the photos showed that better. The metal is also very glossy. That makes it look perfect for nicer attire, but looses out on some of that rugged SKX007 character.Ultimately, I think I'm overall mixed on it. I wanted a SKX007 for the longest time but couldn't afford it. When I finally could they discontinued it and had this line. The black and white option was my favorite of the bunch so I bought it. I sort of had an expectation of the SKX007 being that perfect watch to wear with nice clothes or while being outdoors. This watch overall feels more specialized. Even better for what it is, a classy, James Bond esque quality Seiko, but it didn't fulfill the itch to still buy a (now used) SKX007.

Incredible value
Beautiful Automatic bronze finish divers watch. Best of both worlds, it's all stainless steel with a bronze finish with patina. It's not going to get green and smelly like real bronze. Has the reputable Japanese 4R36 movement which is tough as nails. Not as accurate as others but at this price, who could complain! Charge up the face with a quick blast from a flash light and it shines bright for many hours unlike cheap-o watches. This is SUPER comfortable for all day wear unlike some of my expensive Swiss Automatics. I love the sculpting and sweeping contours of the case guarding the crown, had to include that in the photos. The indices and hands are easy to see (even for my old eyes) day or night. Can't say how pleased I am with this purchase! I don't have to worry about getting a few scratches here and there (unlike my pro pilot x) it will only add to its character.Edit; had this watch on 24/7 since I received it. Some complain about accuracy, it picks up and loses time but averages out. So far, it's roughly two minutes behind over the course of a month. If precise accuracy is a must, I would suggest a quartz watch or the Citizen PCAT atomic watch. If you desire a reliable well made mechanical watch, the Seiko 5 series is tough to beat! The lume is MAGNIFICENT!!!!

Nice entry level diver
For starters, this is a “desk diver” for me. I don’t even swim. I got this style watch for the rotating bezel, it helps track my break time at work. I’ve had manual wind watches (cheap watches way back in the 70’s/80’s), plenty of digitals, a dozen quartz watches, even a couple of “smart” watches, but this is my first automatic. I feel like I have my first “real” watch. Accuracy is terrific. After wearing it for a week, it only gained five seconds. A quick hacking of the movement brought me back to synchronized with GMT+5. My picture shows an upgrade I performed on day two, the bracelet. The most frequently criticized quality/feature of the SRPD55K1 is the bracelet. I got the SRPD55K2 so I could skip the Seiko bracelet and have the leather/rubber strap instead. I picked up a 22mm “Beads of Rice” bracelet… beautiful combination. There are watch mod sites where you can buy parts to tweak your watch to exactly what you want if you are so inclined. I’m going to change my bezel insert to a black and green lumed version for additional functionality and personalization. This watch is fantastic right out of the box, no modifications are necessary to make it a great daily wear. It’s the best $220 I’ve spent in a long time. The fact that it can take modifications easily makes it fun to personalize to your specific tastes. I am definitely picking up another Seiko very soon, something dress casual (SRPH87?) to wear when I’m not showing off this sport model.

Underwhelming manufacturing quality
I got the watch on a whim to use it as an everyday watch. I liked the design, and I was not expecting outstanding built quality at the price point (about $200). Nevertheless, I did not expect it to be this bad. The first 3-4 days worked relatively well, gaining about 10 seconds per day, which is well within the advertised range. Then it went awry and started gaining about 5 seconds per minute. For the price, I have no reason to try to service it. It is possible I received a lemon, but even with Seiko, known for quality products at reasonable prices, you get what you pay for.
