This tray is solid & good looking. Solid aluminum material you're not going to worry about it breaking. My Minn Kota fits perfectly. The color really sets it off matching the boat. Sure, it didn't come with a template, screws, & drain stuff, but it is half the price of plastic ones with all that stuff. If you're cutting a big hole in your boat deck you have 10 screws & a Sharpie to make an outline.I used Sharpie to outline on the carpet, measured in 1" & made the cut line. Used jig saw with wood blade (have at least 3-4 blades, the wood/fiberglass deck chews up blades). Then I used a belt sander to remove deck material till tray dropped in place.Definitely recommend this product.

This is all metal and very heavy duty. Very easy to install once you make a template, they should supply one in the packaging.

Okay, so if you are in the market for a cheap trolling motor pan that’ll do the job, look no further. But beware, the overall quality is lacking! If they would spend another 30 minutes on each pan, they would have a 5 star quality product.My advice,1. Grind your welds. It would look so much cleaner and allow the pan to sit more flush with the deck of the boat without having to cut more of the deck out.2. Do not drill trolling motor pedal holes. Not one of the 4 pre-drilled holes were able to be used. Now I have 4 holes to fill up. Let the consumer drill those holes.3. Weld a stem on the underside of the pan to attach drain hose. You could have a one of a kind pan here if you did that. That way every drop of water would drain out because nothing is sticking up inside the pan and us, the consumer, wouldn’t have to jerry rig a drain system.4. Check the overall quality of your product before shipping. I have a notch missing out of some metal, like it was scrap metal and a corner was bent. Fortunately it’s soft and easy to straighten out.Again, this product does what it needs to but isn’t the best or even close to the best in quality when an additional 1/2 hour in it, it would be phenomenal!

I've bought and sent back 2 of these now, both were welded out of square and did not sit flat on the deck, I ordered a 3rd time hopefully this one sits flat, I already cut the hole so I can't go with a different tray
