SulwhasooFace Mask - Korean Skincare | Vitalizing, Clarifying & Radiance Masks

Sulwhasoo has been one of my all time favorite brands since my early 20s (although this is more suitable for people who are at least in their 30s). My mom likes this brand, so I just had a lot of chances to use their products. Sulwhasoo is my must stop at the duty free shop for sure.Anyway, I’ve used this particular mask before so I knew what I was getting (white ginseng mask). My favorite is actually a clarifying mask only because I like the peel off type mask more than the wash type (I don't like to wash the face all over again after taking a shower lol). But this white ginseng radiance mask is actually recommended to use during the shower for its moisturizing effect. (so wash your face first, then before you do anything else put this on, then you can probably wash your body etc..). This mask is quite good for a quick turnaround mask when you are busy but want to take care of your dull skin for the same day event, or also as a gentle exfoliating mask at night. It's a rather thick, honey-like mask that has small granules in it.Sulwashoo is a prestigious, luxury brand that carries the high quality skin care products that truly makes the difference in your skin. For me, their products are totally worth the price !

The Sulwhasoo Korean Mask is not so much like a mask, maybe like a scrub cleanser. The mask is a gel golden yellow with a ginseng scent, and the gel contains scrub particles that are walnut shell powder. It is not the same as the normal disposable mask. The method of use is to apply it on the face for ten minutes, massage it for 2-3 minutes and rinse. So I personally think that although it is a mask, it still has the effect of a scrub face cleanser. My skin is smooth after one use and cool feeling with a light ginseng aroma. A product of Korea, this white ginseng mask is to be applied to skin after cleansing, massaged for 2 to 3 minutes and rinsed off after 10 minutes. The directions suggest applying it while in the shower. Designed to gently exfoliate it definitely removes the dulling surface of old skin cells revealing a fresher skin with a more refined texture and softer feel. The mask also moisturizes so there is no tight or dry feeling after use.The mask is a gel with a slightly sandy texture that helps to gently exfoliate and the fragrance is botanical/herbal like fresh cut grass—very pleasant and it dissipates within a few minutes. The 4.05 ounce tube has a foil seal over opening to ensure it arrives unopened. The expiration date at the time of this review in April 2022 is 31 months in the future but dates will vary. Excellent.

This arrives in a cute box. Now, remove this tube, untwist the cap, and take off the little seal. Put the cap back in place and give this a try. You might be surprised to see this is a transparent, golden hue. Layer this on. Here the unusual part: from here, hop in the shower. Do not get your face wet, but allow the steam to moisturizer the mask. Remain in the shower for five minutes.When you remove this, you need a little patience. First, wet this and massage. Then, begin rinsing. This requires a lot of rinsing. I tried a Clarisonic to help, but it was better by just using my hands. It took about two minutes of constant rinsing to remove this. However, when I was done, my skin was very soft and radiant. The results were very nice!Overall, I think this is a good, effective mask! Recommended!

Wasn't impressed with this product. The ingredient list is basic and the exfoliation is a physical exfoliant made from walnut shells, an extremely cheap and very abrasive form of skin resurfacing that can leave microscopic damages on the skin when used too aggressively. The ginseng scent is very light, and there is a minty/eucalyptus type zing feeling on the skin after use, which is somewhat refreshing but not my favorite feeling for a daily cleanse routine. I personally didn't like this product and doubt that I'd pay the price for something that seems like an overpriced dupe of St. Ives. Maybe the other masks are better but this one is very mediocre.

I’ve loved this brand ever since I received a sample of it in one of my beauty boxes. I’m Asian so I love the smell of ginger. I use this in the shower and it hasn’t irritated my skin or tore it up.It gets my face nice and clean but afterwards, I do have to add on some moisturizer to my face.I use this on my face, neck, behind my ears, and above my chest.

I love love love this mask! It makes my skin feel so soft and clear. My face looks brighter afterwards. Most masks take weeks for me to notice anything beyond hydration so I was surprised to notice my skin looking brighter after only 1 use.
