Hacreyatu LHD Automatic LED Gear Shift Knob Retrofit Kit Fit for VW Golf MK6 MK7 Passat B7 B8 Tiguan MK2 Polo (LED-White)

Installed this on my VW passat. It was a difficult process for me, but if you have the right tools it will be smooth. Looks great, good material, fits perfectly for my VW, feels better than the older one, and it works great. I’m happy with my purchase.

VW wanted to charge me $500 to fix my broken shifter. I was able to do it myself for around $50. I feel like that's a good deal. This kit did not include a collar to tie things down so I am a little concerned about this shifter popping off but let's see how it goes. There were also no instructions included. It lights up on the stick which is nice but I need to get used to the feeling.

Good but no instructions, I put it on my mk6 jetta sportwagen YouTube helped a bit but no tutorials for this model also the wiring won't fit under the normal gearshift selector so you'll have to get a manual boot. The clamp to hold to boot to the base is flimsy and doesn't hold well. I used a small metal clamp it holds much better. Great for esthetics though.

Very easy installation and functional. It fits my car and functions the appropriate manner.

One they shipped it in the incorrect color. LED is supposed to be Red not White... It doesn't come with Instructions... Like at all... Had to search YouTube to find various guides. Also when needing to attach back the Shift button made a strange cracking noise and after trial and error for about an hour finally got it to work with the shifter.. However I if I lift I can pull the knob fully off.....

Looks good, works well. Lights aren't that bright on the numbers. The "D" doesn't light up. But it's a pain to install so I not going to replace it. Fits perfectly. 【Update】is been about 7 months. The lights are blinking on and off. Sometimes it lights up, sometimes it doesn't. I have to keep hitting the knob to make it light up but they'll Blink off when I hit a bump. The "D" for drive often doesn't work at all. I have it 2 stars because it looks good. But it's a real pain to install and I honestly didn't think a mostly stationary part would malfunction like this. Today is 10/19/25 but the lights on the knob have been acting funny since about a month after install. Now 7 months later they're just getting worse.. I'm eventually going to have to replace it
