I picked up Momofuku Chili Crunch by David Chang (5.5 oz) because I kept hearing about how good it is, and honestly, it lives up to the hype. Right away the aroma hits — it has that rich, toasted chili smell with a hint of garlic and savory crunch. The texture is fantastic. It’s not just oil with spice; you get crispy bits in every spoonful that add real depth and crunch to whatever you’re putting it on. I’ve used this on eggs, noodles, tacos, and roasted veggies so far, and in every case it elevates the dish. A small spoonful goes a long way, and it adds heat plus umami without overpowering the rest of the flavors. It’s the kind of condiment that makes a simple meal feel intentional. The heat level is noticeable but very manageable. It’s spicy, but it’s the good kind of spicy — not one-note burn, but layered with flavor that keeps you going back for a little more. If I had one minor note, it’s that it’s easy to go a bit heavy if you’re not careful, so I’ve learned to start with a small amount and add more as needed. That crafty David Chang has created a fantastic condiment that is good for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It has a slight spicy component, with onion, garlic, and other savory spices with a small amount of sweetness. It all combines to make a delicious chili oil that is not just for asian food. I have added this to my Amazon subscriptions because I go through a jar fairly quickly, and really don't like running out.

Great flavor and crunchy texture. Medium heat. I put it on everything. Not just for asian foods, but it compliments the cuisine. A bit expensive for the amount, but well worth it. I keep a good supply

Absolutely delicious, if you're thinking of getting it, go for it! I only gave it 4 stars because the lid did leak a little but luckily it was while it was still wrapped so it didn't make a mess. Just be sure to store the jar upright. It's still 100% worth it and I plan to get more.

This chili crunch is great tasting, with a hint of sweetness, a tad spicy, enough to make you want more with a crispy loud crunch! Robust flavor with a pop! I finished the jar by myself in three days. I ate it on pot stickers, eggs, beans, in a tortilla with butter and homemade vegetable noodle cilantro soup. This would be excellent in calabacitas!

Already familiar with the basic chili crunch which we love. This set was a gift and has been thoroughly enjoyed. The truffle flavor is a hit. Wish we had tried the garlic. The extra spicy (essentially the basic plus jalapeño) is also quite good — not intolerable. Recommend!!

Love this pantry staple. It is spicy, so if you’re not good with some good kick, I wouldn’t recommend. It’s very tasty and lasts long in the fridge. It will leak though, every jar I’ve bought has. Just a heads up

Really good flavor I ended up getting the extra spicy chili oil flavor and the taste is great. I recommend not adding too much of it as it can be quite overwhelming but the oil itself adds flavor to just about anything. Overall the size is great for the price at least for the spicy one as you shouldn’t be adding more than a tablespoon or so depending on your tolerance. The smell truthfully is like any other chili oil not much more to add it smells great if you love the classic chili oil smell. As for as heat level I’d say the more you add the higher it gets with a few drops being a 2/10 and and tablespoon going up to a 5/10 it’s more flavorful that spicy given my spicy tolerance. Lastly the versatility on this chili oil is great I’ve added it to just about all my food it’s a great way to add a kick of heat with a lot of flavor.
