Woodblock Prints of Gustave Baumann

The little book was is great condition with lovely prints throughout.

Love the fact I can get more familiar with an artist new to me at an affordable price. Nice examples selected of his work, Nice colors and images selected.

I bought this book first at the museum gift shop on the main square in Santa Fe.I loved this artist (exhibited in the museum) and wanted a souvenir of this beautiful state that his pictures so artistically represents. Once home I found myself often looking at these lovely pictures of Baumann's wood cuts. Wanting to share this beauty, I ordered a second copy for my ninety year old cousin. It made a unique and loved gift.

I ordered this a few weeks ago and was very disappointed in the quality of the art. I returned this item and DID NOT reorder it. I am not happy having to return it again!

I am a big fan of this artist and have purchased many different sets of postcards and notecards containing his work. Unfortunately, this particular set of notecards has reproduced the artwork in muddied colors and a little blurry. As such, they are not the best reproductions of the Work of this artist. They are fine, just not great.
