I read all the reviews about this product and hesitated to order it! Everyone was talking about the weird taste and the little pieces in the gel.I used several products from different Nutrition Shops but to be honest nothing worked for me....I do a lot endurance sport and need supplements during my workouts to refill my energy so I gave VEGA SPORT ENDURANCE GEL a try.Guess what... this product truly works. The taste is not weird at all nor unpleasant. I really liked it. The consistence was about right and the little fruit pieces were actually tasty. Sure if you take the gel without liquid it will maintain in the mouth more sticky but you have to drink water to it which is indicated on the gel-pouch to do so.I am completely satisfied and will buy this product again.YES I WILL RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!

NO stomach problems (gas, cramp, noises) but poor taste
Research prior purchasing: Most people complained about taste and consistency but I gave it a try because my stomach goes bananas when I eat other commonly used gels by athletes, including GU, PowerGel, and etc.First impression: The package came in nicely and they had an average of 6-9 months before expired. However, I did not like how large the size and edgy of the gel packet was (See below for a quick fix).First use:- Oh gah, it did taste digusting with the raspberry and the consistency is weird (definitely an acquired taste).2nd to 8th use:- Wow, these things really work! I have run many long-runs (8-11mi) and races (10-13.1) without having signs of stomach problems. I have a sensitive stomach and just 1.3 packet of this gel got me through the Staten Island Half-marathon happened on 10-12-14 without affecting my performance.- I think my taste buds got used to this awful-decent taste and now I really don't care about it anymore.To the large gel's "packet" and "edgy corners" concern:- Because the "edgy corners" design of the packet, I was afraid it will cut through my pockets (in my short) or potentially cutting myself because of those sharp corners, I decided to use a scissor to cut those corners into round and smooth shape. This fix was easy.- the large packaging of the gel is somewhat troublesome if you don't have a big pocket but to me it was ok. If you have a small zipped pocket then you have to think of some way to store the gel.Conclusion: Even though the taste, consistency, and "sharp edgy" packet design did not match my expectation, I really don't care as long as it helps me with through my races without stomach problems. All I can say is, give it a few trials and you will eventually like it, perhaps.I am down to 3/12 gels, time to order some more!

Tastes harsh and texture not smooth
I really liked that this was a vegan sport gel. The taste is a little unpleasant but the texture is awful! even my toddler hated it, and she likes everything. I can't send it back b/c it's a "food item" so I'm just going to keep it and use if I run out of anything else, but it's not what I hoped.

These gels are the BEST--real food ingredients, tastes decent, doesn't bother my stomach or make me feel weird. BIG PROBLEM THOUGH: They have been discontinued by Vega!!! What the F?? I have been using these since 2012 and the second I finally sign up for an amazon subscription delivery of them, Vega decides they don't sell well enough. The rep I talked to suggested I try using the recovery drink instead. Sorry, that's a dumb suggestion, I'm not going to carry around a drink while running a marathon. I've been searching, there's nothing like the Vega gels.

Consistency, taste, and texture..work!
Love all of the Vega Sport products, so I naturally ordered this. Yes, I was shocked by the consistency, but I've learned how to consume it on a long run and it's perfect! Every 15-30 min. I just squirt about 1/3 in my mouth then follow up with a few squirts of water. I can't guzzle water or eat a lot at once during a run. I'm more of a grazer and this works perfect because of its thickness. Settles great on my stomach. So, I'm glad I gave it a try and kept with it.

Kind of taste gross but totally work!
Tastes nasty like all these gel packs do, but sure does the job! Bought these while training for my first 1/2 marathon and wow do they work. I keep them cold for taste.

Amazed at how effective these gels are
Amazed at how effective these gels are. Biggest difference between these and other gels is that you can have multiple gels throughout a race and not feel bloated or overly caffeinated. The taste does take some time to get used to the consistency - but now I take them without water. Really good product over four cases purchased.

Tried it/didn't like it
Maybe I'm hooked on caffeine, but these shots didn't do it for me. Not terrible, but I didn't really notice any real energy boost while on my run like I get with others gels. The packages are quite a bit larger than conventional gels, so they are harder to carry on a run, too. I also think they taste pretty nasty, and please don't make the mistake of looking at it while you're eating it (grayish goo with tiny lumps). Didn't do it for me.

Taste fine, but more ended up on my clothes!
Say didn’t get on with this very well at all. Was really keen to try it as an athlete who doesn’t eat refined sugar - this is one of, if not the only gel product on the market that does not contain a refined sugar. However, the packaging of the gel was very poorly designed/manufactured. As I tried to open the gel, mid run, the seam at the bottom of the gel pack split open, and the contents dripped down the front of my top. I was left in a sticky mess with no gel in my mouth, only all over my clothes! I informed Vega, who were very apologetic and sent another box, but the same thing happened. I tried the gel on another occasion and it tasted fine, but I wasn’t willing to risk the same happening again so I gave up with them. If they changed the packaging I would try them again, but until then I wouldn’t recommend them.

Nach vielen klebrig süßen und künstlich schmeckenden Gels, die ich probiert habe, ist diese Sorte komplett anders. Das Gel schmeckt wie konzentrierte Natur und unglaublich lecker. Ich habe das Gefühl, meinem Körper etwas Gutes zu tun.Was eventuell etwas Schwierigkeiten im Wettkampf bereiten könnte, ist die recht feste Konsistenz. Das muss ich erst noch erproben. Im Training jedoch schon mal spitze!
