Small glassine bags are made from pressed paper cellulose fibers. They are grease resistant, but not grease proof. They are good to package small treats, condiment packs, sugar packets, etc. They are food safe and made in the USA. Total bag measures at 2 x 3 3/4 which includes the flap. Useable space is 2 x 3 1/2. The flap is serrated and not self sealing.

Perfect for seeds
These packets were perfect for seed distribution. My friend and i collected thousands of California redwood seeds to give out at another friends memorial because he loved CA redwood trees. Viability of the seeds required a minimum of 10 seeds to ensure sprouting. We put 20-40 seeds in each packet and have heard that the seeds are doing well and sprouting in the soil and cups we provided. We really like the look, feel and size of the packets. They were perfect to keep the seeds from becoming loose and being lost before being planted. I will be sure to buy the same packets again in the future.

Good for simple craft or seed keeping
Good for what I needed them for. They are a little more cheap than the vkissine envelopes I have used previously, however, those were meant for scientific research. These definitely do the job. They are quite small but for what I needed fine. You could fit like 20-25 Skittles in them.

Perfect for garden seeds!
I use these for seed swaps and love them. Some seeds are very tiny and will escape out of the coin envelopes I have used in the past. These envelopes are well sealed so contents cannot escape.They are sheer enough to see how much is in each envelope, but still strong enough to open and close without fear of them tearing.Wash tape or even blue painter's tape can be applied and lifted off with no tearing.

They will work for shipping small seeds
Like: They will help me transition from plastic bags for shipping seeds to my customers. Especially seeds that tend to stick to the plastic due to static.They were inexpensive, probably the only way for me to get them cheaper is to buy in bulk. But I'm an upstart business so I can't do that yet.I received 125 of them.Dislike:I'm all about customer service and this seller loses 2 stars on this.First, the bags are simply thrown in a shipping envelope without any proper packaging. I opened the envelope expecting to pull out a package, nope I pull out a handful of these bags just haphazardly put in the envelope.Secondly, so many of these bags were stuck to each other. Why is that? Is it because these are not being stored properly? I wouldn't be surprised since no care was taken in packaging them for shipping.I did count them since they shipped loose, which is why I know I received 125 instead of 100. This is also why I didn't take away another star.Overall, I will look elsewhere for a restock because of presentation and product quality.
