Mackmyra - Stjarnrok Single Malt - Whisky

I think this whisky has a unique flavour profile that I can't recall in any other whisky I have tried so far. It's a smokey whisky, but different from the Scotch whiskies I've tried before.They use juniper smoke, and aging in ex cloudberry wine casks. The flavour is complex in my opinion. I love it - but it may not suit everyone. For me, I get this lovely Brazil nut vibe on the palette.It's smokey, nutty, oily... but also has some sweetness too. Excellent whisky - I would buy it again if it's still available.

Bought for my husband as he had previously loved some of this company’s other whiskeys, so I thought I would give this one a go.Usually with whiskeys you get a nice after burn once you have swallowed, however this one gives your mouth ‘the whiskey burn’ as soon as it hits your mouth, that being said it is still a lovely and pleasant flavour. Defiantly worth the money, will buy again.
