beautiful scent, low smoke, very cute, big fan
I've tried a number of rose incense options on amazon and thus far this is my favorite. They're very pleasant to burn, not overwhelming but not too subtle, not too smoky. My only complaint is that they are fragile and relatively short. It gives them something like a 15-20 minute burn time, and I wish they lasted longer. Still, I'm gonna buy another box of these to keep lovely rose party going.

Strong but nice rose scent.
I was skeptical about ordering this because most "rose"-scented products smell nasty. I have a large collection of incense and some of the best value has to be the Nippon Kodo Kayuragi incense - it smells clean (not too smoky) and isn't too expensive(cf. Shoyeido). I use the jasmine, sandalwood, and wisteria scents regularly, but this is the first time I've tried the rose scent. I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised. It really DOES smell like roses and visitors know right away that it is a rose scent and ask me where I got it because 1) they're not accustomed to incense that doesn't smell like burning wood and 2) you can tell what it's supposed to smell like: roses.I agree with the previous reviewer that it is a strong scent - much stronger than the jasmine and wisteria scents - so you want to burn it in a large room. I only burn the rose incense in my living room, for example. This is just a matter of taste, but I also don't mind the strong scent because after the incense is burnt out, the faint rose scent lingers in the room for a while afterward, unlike some weaker scents that completely die out when done burning. Another note about the scent: other incense might have "complex" scents made from a variety of ingredients and materials - that is not the case with this incense. It has a single, concentrated fragrance. Ultimately, it depends on your personal preferences whether you will like this incense or not, but I recommend giving it a try to see what you think.

So many scents to love
I really like everything about these incense sticks. I love the little tile they come with to stand up the stick while burning. I like the beautiful packaging and simple design. I love the variety of scents and the current one I'm using is rose, which I enjoy for its classic scent although it is a tad towards old-lady-perfume. I prefer jasmine and other scents, of which there are plenty to choose, but even the rose is good enough to make it through the whole package in no time. Great for creating a mood and freshening up a space.

Ok but some issues.
The scent is really nice but the sticks are shorter than I thought and it burns relatively quickly. Also, there is not wooden part at the end. So inserting it into a holder may or may not be a problem.

Super incense
I've gone a little overboard on the Kayuragi incenses lately, the rose incense being one of my most recent purchases. I find the after-smell with just great, noticeable and fragrant but not too heavy. The rose especially is very nice.

Looove the smell
Love the smell, very unique to the brand ❤️ however I wish they lasted longer and had a portion at the bottom of the stick where it wasn't incense but just an actual stick so I could fasten the incense into something easier.

No bed of roses....
The fragrance is pleasant, but I do no smell roses when I burn a stick. It smell more like a potpourri of flowers and spice than a rose. I agree with a previous reviewer. It has a temple smell, more Indian than Japanese.
