Essential for GI fellows
Bought this late for fellowship - during second year. Wish I bought it sooner as it provides a fantastic framework of basic, essential GI topics in an easy-to-digest format. It also provides QR codes next to each topic which directs you to the latest guidelines. Few topics are missing but can be supplemented through the guidelines and DDSEP qbank. Highly recommended for incoming GI fellows

I always have this book with me
Love this book. I carried my 2020 edition with me everywhere (it's so lightweight!) starting day one of fellowship. Really enjoying the new edition. It is truly the most efficient and reliable way to double-check your memory when you are crafting differentials and management. Pulling this out of my backpack is much faster than slogging through questionable search engine results and time-consuming forgotten-password-protected double-verification difficult-to-navigate academic sites with excessive distracting ads (but maybe that's just me). I bought one for each of my PAs and we will use it to reinforce our knowledge and A/Ps.

Excellent for GI Board review
Very easy read, has high pertinent points! Not sure if it's as comprehensive but has lots of important points and most importantly it's very easy to peruse through even after a long day at work. Excellent book, highly recommend.

Excellent for Boards and for practicing GI docs
This is the book !! Gastroenterology Clinical Focus. I just took the ABIM. Gastroenterology Recertification exam 2 months and scored well (in top 10%) using this book primarily as a resource . The book covered all the clinically relevant topics concepts in a easy format. The links in the book with QR codes were useful to catch up on the latest studies and guidelines. While useful for board review, the book gives you all the salient points that are important in clinical practice. For the volume of data available now, the clinician has information overload and this book helps focus a practicing physician on what is important. I would recommend this book for every gastroenterology fellow and practicing gastroenterologist. . I am a fan.
