The Noble Quran Almaqdis Al- Al-Kareem Word-By-Word Translation & Color Coded Tajweed (Arabic-English) [A5 small size]

Absolutely love it, each word has English meanings.

(In shaa Allāh please scroll down from this paragraph for my actual review) I saw someone else upset that this is just one Qur’an for the price, not 5— this is ONE COPY (A5/B4/A4 refers to common book sizes) and it is MORE than worth the price paid for it. There are free copies of the Qur’an to be found everywhere especially for new reverts, when I became Muslim people fell over themselves to send me a free English translation and in almost every masjid I go to, there are free dawah copies alhamdulillāh. This is not a “dawah” Qur’an. This is for for English speakers who’ve already read the English translation at least a few times by itself and have at least familiarized themselves to the Arabic alphabet, in my opinion. This Qur’an is high quality and beautiful, just like we have to buy clothing and food, we have to buy the Qur’an and support other Muslims’ livelihoods. If you’re truly needy, you can find other places to give you food, clothing, and a copy of the Qur’an as sadaqah, not Amazon. There are even free whole copies of Qur’an on the internet as PDFs, so if you can shop Amazon, you can get a bunch of free Qur’an apps and websites and PDFs too. You don’t go to a grocery and ask for something free or cheap, you go to places where you know you can get something free, right? Where people are not trying to make a living off selling the food? So no need to disparage the fellow Muslims making a living by making this amazing resource available for us to purchase. If we are grateful, we will realize that the money we spend towards increasing our knowledge will come back to us multiplied and in more ways than one in shaa Allāh. ******ACTUAL REVIEW****** As a revert, I have to BEG any other reverts or those new to Arabic to please buy this Qur’an!!! Or at least one of the different sizes offered! It’s completely changed the game for me as I learn Arabic and dive into understanding the Qur’an in the beautiful language of revelation. I have the larger A4 size as you can see in the pictures, and I’ve used that for a couple years now. However, with becoming more serious about memorizing, I wanted to try the smaller copy for portability. I am thrilled to report that I just am SO IN LOVE with the smaller A5 size! Of course, the larger one is easier to read because it’s larger font, sure. But the smaller one is still very clear to read (the English is a bit small but honestly I’m more concerned with the Arabic being easy to read, and the Arabic is still an easily readable size in the smaller copy). If you are worried about being able to see the English easily, definitely go for the slightly larger B5 or large A4 sizes. But, if you’re only using the English as reference, or if you are okay with a smaller font size for the English, then this A5 size will still be great for you. Especially if you want the ease/portability of the small size Qur’an. It is not heavy or cumbersome, but the pages feel sturdy enough to withstand regular use, they are NOT very thin. The numbers of the first and last ayat are listed at the top of every page which is extremely helpful, and the number of ayat in each Surah is listed along with the name of the Surah at the start of each one. Juz is listed on every page. Of course, the star features of this Qur’an are as follows: 1) word by word translation below each Arabic phrase/word! Every other word is color coded to the English to show both separation of the words and the corresponding translation easily. 2) The full cohesive English translation is available in the margins which is nice as well. 3) Additionally, the Arabic is color coded with tajweed rules AND the tajweed rules and signs are at the bottom of each page— stopping rules included too. This is just an unbelievably convenient feature so you don’t have to look at a reference page nor look elsewhere to double-check, it’s just right there already for you. There IS a more in-depth reference page that I included in photos, which is helpful too. I just cannot say enough good things about the Qur’an Maqdis, it’s my absolute favorite and now I’m happy to have this smaller copy that I will use in shaa Allāh in my memorization journey. Do not hesitate to buy this amazing Qur’an (just keep in mind the different sizes offered, if you want a big one buy the A4, NOT this A5 size).

The layout is the classic madinah mushaf - word for word translation - each word is color coded, so easy for beginner arabic students to see each word - so many book marks come preattached - also a full translation on the side - color coded tajweed and rules This book is a work of love.

I like the English translation underneath the ayahs and the ones on the side, alhamdulilah.

Definitely a worthy purchase, I would highly recommend anybody that is looking to buy this book. It is a bit pricey but totally worth it. All the words are clear to read, and they include extra information to better our understanding and to improve our reading.
