The Yellow Wall-Paper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman - Paperback

It was very short, but my gosh did I love it.

While I was searching for a short read to avoid a slump last month, my eyes caught the cover of this book. I never read blurbs, but I wanted to read this book, so I made an exception. I was so hooked by the description that I started reading it without a second thought. It's a classic that features gothic/psychological thrillers and includes three short stories. "The Yellow Wallpaper": A woman and her husband secure an old mansion. Suddenly, the lady feels a mysterious presence in the wallpaper, which has some drawings. Each pattern disturbs her deeply. "The Rocking Chair" and "Old Water" were wonderful to read as well. After reading it on Kindle, I badly wanted a physical copy, so I got one in Penguin Classics. It was such a cute book, and I was blown away by the way the author wrote the stories. Definitely my go-to author hereinafter. I never thought that I would love classics, but this short story was outstanding, especially considering it was written way back in the 19th century. If you want to come out of a slump or try some different genres, you must read this book.
