DakineMen's Scout Gloves

I originally bought these hoping to use them riding my motorcycle. Well the fingers are too bulky for that so I am going to use the inserts as winter driving gloves and the main gloves for when I am walking outside or using my snow blower or shoveling snow. Sizing is pretty good, however, wearing the insert and glove together makes for a slight tight fit. Construction of these looks great and i like the fact that they are NOT all black. Disclaimer: I have not used these in winter conditions yet, nor will I ever use them for snowboarding per their primary use.

These fit well, seemed warm, but I didn't like that the gloves came in two layers. If the Gloves gave you the option to attach the inner layer to the outer, I would of liked these a lot more. It just seem like a hassle to have to worry about two layers when you are taking the gloves on/off and moving around.

I would say they run a little small. I ordered large and they are a good fit. If am 5' 11 and 185. If they were any tighter they would not have worked. I haven't had glove liners for several years, and found them to work well. My gloves stayed dry inside and out after a day on the slopes.

Used them on a cold, powdery day in Zermatt, and they kept my son's hands warm and dry while snowboarding [despite a fair amount of hand contact with the snow]. He used them without the liners, and still found them to be warmer and more waterproof than his last few pairs of Head gloves. An excellent product. He even pulled them off a few times to film, and the gloves warmed his cold fingers back up quite quickly. Only surprise was that according to other reviews they ran a bit small, we found them larger than expected, so the cuffs are a bit big to manage. I would be curious to compare the fit with the medium, or with the same style in the "short" version to see if that would streamline the wrist fit.

I hadn't been skiing for a few years and I couldn't find my gloves that I paid a lot of money for. I didn't want to spend a lot of money because I thought I would find my other gloves. So I looked for a Glove that looked warm and functional and didn't cost a lot of money. I picked these gloves. Wow I love them the liner works with either hand on my I-Phone, they are warm and stay very dry. I got them a little wet one day by accident and they were completely dry by the next day.I never did find my other gloves and now I don't even care.

Fell apart first use during skiing, didn't even get a full day of skiing in before the threads came out

Best gloves I have ever purchased and its great that that they come with a liner designed specifically for the glove.

Skiing in Norway at -12C these gloves were not at all up to the job my hands were freezing had to buy a replacement pair locally which were around same price but worked far better than these I bought these based on a magazine review but clearly whoever reviewed them never used them in practice
