I found that my puppy didn’t like having a bed in her crate, and would push it aside to sleep on the crate floor, removed bed and put in the plushie. Turned on the heartbeat (AAA batteries not included!) and she has been doing well. To clean I soaked it in some warm water and oxyclean for about an hour and put it on a rinse and spin cycle in my washer. 10/10 recommend this dupe.

This is a truly wonderful product for puppies. I foster for an animal shelter and tend to take in a lot of puppies. It is hard being separated from their mother’s and being somewhere scary so this heartbeat puppy dog can really soothe their anxiety. The heartbeat is set to a good speed to replicate a mama‘s heartbeat, and the stuffed dog is durable as the puppies like to chew. It is easy to unzip and turn off the noise from the stuffed dog or take it out if this stuffed animal needs cleaned off

It was a complete waste. **The heartbeat mechanism stopped working the very first night** — right in the middle of the night! It barely made a difference before it quit, and it left my puppy even more unsettled.Save your money — **buy a small ticking clock instead.** It has the same calming effect and you can just place it outside the crate. Much cheaper, much more reliable, and you won't have to deal with returns and wasted shipping fees. Extremely disappointing product.---

We refer to this as chubby puppy. My golden had the snuggle puppy and loved it so much it is falling apart. I found this lookalike on Amazon - it still has the heartbeat but is 1/3 of the price. We haven't used the heartbeat so I can't comment on that but it is a cute little puppy look alike and my boy loves it. It gets 4 stars because it is not as well made as snuggle puppy but has worked great as a replacement. (pic 2 - a deflated snuggle puppy on left and this new one on right)

I purchased this for our new puppy to help him feel comfortable in the crate, the problem is that the heartbeat turns off by itself and only stays on for a short time and not consistently. There are no adjustments to allow for a time setting which is unfortunate as I would have liked it to stay of for at least 8 hours.I gave it 3 stars because some reviews stated that theirs were not properly sewn, the one I received is complete and I haven't noticed any parts that are loose.

Mojo loves his hippo! His momma stopped feeding him so I’ve had him since he was 1 month old…when I first brought him home we would wake up every few hours at night. Great product made my dog feel comfortable and less anxious.

Nice idea but not great quality. The Velcro used to close the pouch where you insert the beating heart ripped out the very first time I gently tried to open it. The heart turns off too easily if bumped. Still my pup loved it so I couldn’t take it away from her, but we don’t use the beating heart feature. It is a cute toy and a good size but needs better sewing.
