SalomonMen's X Ultra Pioneer Mid Climasalomon Waterproof Hiking Boot

These are the best tactical, hiking shoes I've ever bought after researching and finding that a lot of your tier one operaters like Navy Seals Delta Force wear for their mission.

These shoes are great! This is my second pair of the mid ankle height and I’ve ordered the lower cut also in the past. They are light weight, pretty water resistant, very comfortable and most importantly they last quite a long time without loosing any stitching or coming apart.

I have been using Solomon shoes for two years in competitive shooting. I just got tired of the cinch system and I wanted to go back to a quarter top boot. I really enjoy the feel of these and I think they hold up pretty darn good for what they are put through..BUT I REALLY WISH AMAZON WOULD STOP RESELLING RETURNED ITEMS AS NEW! This is really becoming an a sore spot for me with Amazon so I wish Amazon would knock it off, trying to sell, returned items for the full price and listing them as new. You can look at my photos and tell that someone had tried these on didn’t like them didn’t even return them in the original box And this is how I got them from Amazon in a plastic bag really ??!! if I am paying full price for a new product I expect a new price. I did return these and they are replacing them with hopefully a new pair.

Great boots, very comfortable. The water proof version does get pretty toasty if it’s not cold out.

My 2018 Solomon X ultra from Solomon were one of the best boots I have owned. Because of that positive experience, I replaced them with another pair of X-Ultra. Sadly, the quality of these new boots has gone down in a major way. As you can read in other reviews, once the Chinese company Anta took over Solomon they have destroyed the quality of these boots. The left and right boots don't fit well because they are not equal--the toe box is way smaller in the right boot (not miss sized as the soles are equal). This is poor QA of the assembly process. They have also cheapened other features; the tongue of the boot is smaller and of poor quality, the laces have way too much stretch, and they changed the lace mechanisms so that they don't stay tight. If there was ever a good reason to place a 50% or higher tariff on a foreign company like Anta this is it. We don't need another Chinese company selling poor quality products in the US. Buyer beware.

I have worn Soloman's for years, but my last two pairs of hikers I bought were simply because I got them for an extremely low price. I am extremely satisfied to pay a little more for the superior quality, weight, fit, and comfort.
