Very comfortable
I’ve got slightly fallen metatarsals, which led to a slightly numb sensation in my smaller toes. My chiropractor suggested an orthotic with a meta-pad - basically a bump which would raise the metatarsals. This orthotic also comes with quite an aggressive lift to the inside of the heel.It took a little while to get comfortable, but I recently did 6 days walking an average of 15 miles/day. No issues and very comfortable.I also tried another brand with a meta-pad. No issues there either. Everyone’s got different shaped feet, so what works for me won’t necessarily work for somebody else. However if your physician recommends a meta-pad, this worth looking at.Lastly, I like the different sizes. I didn’t have to cut down the orthotic at all to fit my walking boot.

These can hurt for the first few days, you just have to get on with it.
Years back Scholl used to do metal plates that fitted in your shoes and they cranked them back into shape every month....man that was sore, for about an hour or so and then you just felt great. But they suffered from metal fatigue (not joking) and were very expensive to replace. Man I miss them. Had that same feeling a couple of days back, yes my instep is sore, but I can walk on my metatarsal arch now. Can never walk about barefoot again. I've bought a couple of these for my running shoes, and various other ones to fit in walking and welly boots. I expect to be back to 'normal' next week, but expect pain until my feet get back in place. Running with heavy stuff in the military takes it's toll, I'd recommend these, but all feet & shoes are different

Does the job, but not very comfortable
Struggle with Achilles tendonitis regularly after 12 hour shifts. Gave this a shot for 3 days back to back shifts where I’m on my feet most of each day. It’s not comfortable at all. Feels like walking on 2 rolled up socks in my shoes. That being said, come day 3 I am normally in agony and walking fast is near on impossible. With these it’s a lot less pain. Will keep looking for more comfortable alternatives, until then I’m willing to put up with the uncomfortable arch with massaging blob for pain free tendons. Saves me hobbling along like something from a Brothers Grimm story.Would recommended to anyone who is in the same boat. At least until something better comes along.Build quality is decent. Comes in nice colours. Didn’t have to trim down and does make me a little taller with them on. Hasn’t disintegrated after 3 days wear.Perhaps over time my feet will get used to them.

Bulky
Too bulky for my boots. Would have been impossible to wear these with the boots they were for as they’re just too bulky. Sent back.
