The description is deceiving. You get a total of 40, not 80. DON’T BUY THESE! Also, Amazon won’t let you return them.

Fisherman's actually has flavored cough drops that are sugar free (and quite tasty), though these particular ones have sugar in them.

Q: What are the ingredients in this cough drop? Especially, what is the cough suppressant ingredient/s?

menthol 10mg (cough suppressant), capsicum' dextrin, eucalyptus oil, natural licorice, sugar, tragacanth. All I can say is that it really works. I had a virus that affected my sinus. I had the cough steadily for about 2 months. My physician eventually gave me antibiotics, which did nothing (as it was a virus) He wanted to give it a try. Anyway, I enjoy Broadway plays. So, I took my package of Fisherman"s friend and a bottle of water. When I felt that tickle come on I popped a Fisherman"s Friend and drank some water. I have since passed this on to 2 of my friends. They had the same result. Good Luck
