I bought this breakaway cable after I may have forgotten it was attached and... well, let's just say the old one didn't survive. 😅I paid £6.91 (it's now £5.74), so a pretty good deal, and I’m happy to report this one’s still going strong—no more accidental "breakups" with my caravan!It does exactly what it’s supposed to do, keeping you safe when unhitching. Necessary piece of kit
Fitted to caravan as the law states it is needed I know we fitted one last week tow to north Wales A55. The police slowed down as he passed checking caravan, hitch and my son driving before pulling away with thumbs up as he went.

Ok but weak steel ring won’t stand any pull

Good quality solid cable
Was advised on caravan course to get a stainless steel breakaway cable as the carbon steel ends can snap. Found this product, good quality, same length and ring fastner for my swift sprite. Need to open ring with a screwdriver to fit which stays deformed slightly open when fitted. Slid around cable so that it sits on double ring. Very pleased and looks great
