PROAUTO Door Off Mirror for Jeep Wrangler One Pair Rectangular Mirrors fit 1997~2006 2007~2017 TJ Jeep, Textured Black : desertcart.in: Car & Motorbike Review: I ordered a pair of these and was so happy with everything about them that I really wanted to write a review. These mirrors are absolutely great! Starting out, I received these in record time, it said 2 day shipping but I believe it came in 1 day. Upon opening the package everything was neatly and safely packaged (as seen in picture 1). After unboxing I checked out the quality of the mirrors and did a dry run of putting them together before starting on the Jeep (Picture 2). After noticing the excellent quality of these mirrors I decided to move forward and went out to my jeep (Please excuse the mud). The mirrors came with everything needed to install but I chose to use the stock bolts that were already on my jeep just so I could keep the same bolt heads as the rest, they were the same length and worked perfectly. As you can see in the pictures, I decided to post pictures with the doors on so that the comparison with the stock mirrors can be seen, picture 3 and 4 show that the location of these mirrors are ideal for when the doors are off, they match up with the mirrors that you are used to, great location! The last 2 pictures posted are one of the things I like best about these mirrors, when you decide to put the doors back on you do not need any tools to take the mirrors off. Just loosen the hand adjustment, take the mirrors off, and put the hand tightened bolt back in. As you can see from the pictures, it looks good without the mirrors and with the doors put back on. Anyone that has driven their Jeep with the doors off knows that mirrors are important, not only for your safety but also because it is the law. These mirrors have not only met my expectations but have far exceeded them. If you are looking for a good quality mirror for far less than most others that is easy to put on and take off, this is the purchase for you. Take my advice and get yourself a pair of these! Review: the product came in a box that was pretty beat up and the product was just kind of shoved into it and was barely shutting. then it had no instructions which made figuring out how it actually worked and was put together quiet the task and headache that could've been avoided. especially since there was a nut missing from the hard ware. once installed on the jeep, I couldn't get the bolts tight enough to hold the mirrors in place without moving so i put some super glue and will later put something more permanent to keep them from moving. other than that once i got the mirrors on i was happy with how large they were and have very good view from them. they are also very easy to quickly take off and put on. once i got past the initial frustration the should've been avoided i was happy with the product. Edit: I had a piece go missing due to my own fault and they replaced that part plus some more without any hesitation. Will definitely try to buy more products from this company.

The mirrors are a good option when doors are off. However, There are a few things I would address in their design. I would change the angle where the actual mirror mounts to the bracket. (See picture). It should be more upward facing so the mirror can have more adjustments before bottoming out. I would also include the option to bolt the mirrors in instead of using the finger right nut supplies because you can never get them tight enough to not move. All in all these are a great option when taking doors off and are priced right. The quality of material is there and so far the mirrors have held up well. I would not hesitate to buy again or recommend to others with a few simple inexpensive mods.

Well, I took a gamble on these. Packaging is good to go, quality of manufacture seems very good, engineering....not so much. So, the issues lie in three places: 1. Whistling - this occurs at low speeds ~20MPH. It persists, obviously, at high speeds but gets drowned out by road noise. 2. Mirror tension - this is due to the ball that interfaces the back of the mirror to the arm. It simply is too loose to keep the mirror in the same spot if you hit a decent bump. 3. Arm tension - the bracket that attaches to the Jeep is heavy duty, which is good. What is bad is that is too heavy duty to allow the knob to compress the arms into the spindle that holds the arm. I figured this would be an issue to I cranked down on the knob as hard as I could without stripping the threads, this was ineffectual I was to find out. What this results in is a collapse of the arm when you reach high speeds and/or a decent bump. I was passed by a tractor trailer today and the change in air movement was great enough that the arm collapsed so that it was facing the passenger seat. It's real fun trying to fix that at 65MPH (I didn't try past rocking the arm back out). When I got home this evening I put my full doors back on after removing these mirrors. On both sets the spindles show no wear from the bracket - that means that there is almost no friction between the spindle and bracket. Conclusion - For $35 they aren't bad, but they aren't good either. I'd rather have paid$50 for a set that at least didn't have movement issues, I can live with the whistle. These will likely be going back as I look for a better solution. My 33-year old CJ-7 mirrors are better than these... FYI - the brackets on mine had foam backers to protect your paint. That was nice. EDIT 11/2019 - I was contacted by the seller shortly after posting this review in which they stated they were going to send me a new revised version which addressed my complaints. This never happened. EDIT 8/2021 - I can say that my purchase of these was a complete waste, I have been unable to make them work utilizing some MacGyver engineering. In 2021 they still have not made the product any better based on other Verified Purchase reviews.

They are ok for the price. Pros: Cheap way to be legal Piece of mind knowing you have side mirrors Easy install, you can keep the bracket on and pop the mirrors on/off when you want Low vibration, there is a rubber isolator behind the bracket. Pretty secure if you can muster the strength to tighten the knob. I used a set of rubber grip pliers to get the last bit. Cons: Whistle over 25 mph on the drivers door. They are interchangeable between sides, but the drives side mirror bolt position is angled weird (thats where the whistle is) Quality is a little lacking. One of my mirrors had a small dent. One of the brackets appeared to have welding material splattered on it and then painted over. They don't have the best focus, a little blurry/unevenness. Overall they are okay. If I ever need to I probably would try another removable style/brand.
