There is a learning curve!!
I jumped into tumbling with no idea what I was doing, and I made a lot of mistakes, initially. The first of them being buying a tumbler from Temu. The Komestone tumblers are a huge upgrade from that! The barrels are very sturdy and well designed. I have had no issues with leaking, and they are very quiet (aside from the rocks tumbling around, obviously). I like having a timer to set for each stage, as it saves me the hassle of having to make notes or hopefully just remember. I didn't honestly follow the instructions in the booklet. Instead, Michigan Rocks on YouTube has really good instruction videos, and they're very helpful. This hobby requires a lot of patience, and that's probably the most important lesson I've learned. And while this brand's tumblers offer multiple speed settings, I've never used anything other than 1st speed. Many more experienced tumblers recommend a speed of around 40-45 rpms, as a more gentle tumble helps prevent damage to the stones. The 1st speed on these is faster than that... and yet, I still get results I'm happy with. These are good machines. I own two of the single barrels, and one double barrel, and I love them. I have found their customer service to be quite responsive, as well. There is so much to learn in this hobby, but it is so rewarding! It's important to keep an open mind, do your research, and ultimately to just have fun and enjoy the process! Would I recommend these machines? Absolutely!

Rock Tumbling Reimagined – A Surprisingly Rewarding Hobby with a Great Machine
I used to have a rock tumbler years ago and always enjoyed polishing up stones I found. Lately, I’d been thinking about getting back into it, and after reading the reviews for the K1 Pro Professional Cutting-Edge Brushless Motor Advanced Rock Tumbler Polisher Kit, I decided to give this one a try.I’m so glad I did! After just one tumbling cycle, I already had enough polished stones to start a small collection—and to use in craft projects, home decor, and even a few handmade gifts. The possibilities are endless, which makes the whole experience even more fun and rewarding.I’ve completed three cycles so far, and it’s fascinating to see how much the rocks transform. I usually start with stones of different shapes and sizes, and once I see how they turn out, I decide what to do with each one. If nothing specific comes to mind, I display them in a pretty crystal bowl—they’re beautiful all on their own.Compared to the tumbler I had years ago, this model is quieter, easier to use, and impressively well made. The brushless motor is strong, and the kit includes everything you need to get started.I have no complaints—it’s a solid, high-quality machine that makes an old hobby feel new again. I highly recommend it!

Great Introduction to Rock Tumbling
This rock tumbling kit from KomeStone has been so much fun! It comes with everything that you need to get started right off the bat, including a variety of neat stones. I would recommend reading up on the different hardness levels, as some of these stones don't play too well together in the tumbler! The picture I included shows several of the stones that were included after a week in stage one.The machine does make some noise, as expected, but it's easy enough to stick it in a closed closet, laundry room, garage, etc. I had mine in a spare bedroom next to my office, and with the door shut I couldn't hear it. It has since been moved out to my screened in sun room, and it happily chugs away without bothering anyone. The unit is made of plastic, but does seem quite durable. The barrel itself is thick and the parts all fit together snugly, so I haven't experienced any leakage or issues there. There are two extra belts included, and the company will send you more if you send them an email. It all functions as it should, and seems like it will last a long time. This is a great way to get started with the hobby, and the kit provides excellent value.

Excited to see if the rocks from my yard turn into anything neat!
Seems to be a great unit. I am on step 1 with my son and we are going to step 2 tonight! This will be our first time seeing the rocks after 5 days of spinning. We picked rocks from around our house and combined them with the rocks that came with the unit. I am excited to see what the rocks from our yard look like! So far so good!I will need to purchase more of the "cleaning" packets to spin more rocks after my first batch.

UPDATED: Customer service is very helpful
UPDATE: May 2025, After talking to customer service (again) about the problem, they sent PU belts (I guess I was still using the rubber belts). Very helpful folks! Would recommend talking to them for any problem you have concerning this tumbler. So, after installing the new belt, everything is fine and we will see how much better these PU belts are.I purchased this rock tumbler last June (2024) and wish I had gone with a Lortone. The tumbler is ok except for the fact that it goes through belts like cows eat grass! In the 11 months I’ve had it (5 months not used due to cold weather) I’ve had to replace 12 belts. They just break. They don’t rub or get bound up, drum isn’t overloaded, they just break. Customer service is nice and sent 5 free belts, but it’s just a pain having to call them all the time and if you don’t catch the break immediately, it keeps running and the days counter still ticks down the days (I always write the date on the lid just for this reason, which actually doesn’t help if I don’t catch it right away as I don’t check them every single day 🫤). I do like the 3 speeds and the pause functions. It does not run very hot.I suppose this would make a good starter machine but definitely not a machine to run all summer long unless you like talking to customer service people.

Customer service great. Tumblr easy to use
I bought the 2.5 lb tumblr from Amazon site. Love the size. Love the easiness of using. I had some issues with the belt breaking with the first use. I had already tossed the box and could jot return, I contacted customer service. They were great. Answered my email promptly. They sent me out replacement belts and upgraded the belts to the better one. I’m back to tumbling
