This works well for unfinished wood. Years ago, I tried a product called Tung Oil Finish which is the wrong product for a natural food grade finish. But this is the real 100% Tung Oil that absorbs into unfinished wood and leaves it with a clean, pleasant finish that is fantastic for hand carved utensils or cutting boards. I personally love the smell and feel of wood coated in this. The seller has reached out to make sure that I am satisfied and is engaged. I have not had any problems, but I think they would respond quickly if I did.

This is the second time I've purchased the Godora Pure tung Oil. I used it on two pieces of furnature and it applies easily, penetrates and seals for a beautiful finish. Two coats, then some paste wax for a long lasting finish. It's food grade, so this second jug will be going on several cutting boards that I'm making for Christmas presents! Good product, highly recommend.

The tung oil is perfectly good; the instructions on the product page are not correct. This is pure tung oil and must be mixed with a thinning agent, such as paint thinner, to make it easier for the wood to absorb and easier to spread it as thin as it needs to be to prevent the wood from remaining sticky. Also, the tung oil does need to be mixed, like paint, before it can be thinned; but that information is listed far down in the instructions on the bottle, in miniscule writing. Good grade of tung oil, but it is not "ready to apply".

Excellent product for acacia wood. I bought a bistro set that was untreated acacia wood and since it will be outside partially uncovered in the warmer months, I needed a good treatment for it. I should have taken a before pic, but it helped enhance the natural beautiful wood color and texture. Very easy to apply with a brush and rag, no strong odor and after 2 applications, I think it will be helpful to protect from weather this season.

I love the natural look of wood and have tried numerous products. I do woodworking and have some natural wood outdoor furniture. I do not like the gray weathered wood appearance so I oil my outdoor furniture as needed and use it on my woodworking projects. Tung oil last longer than than any other natural finish including linseed oil. This product is good quality and is reasonably priced. It has performed very nicely on my outdoor furniture and woodworking projects.

i used this on some scrap pieces of oak flooring that i turned into a small butcher block work surface for the garage to protect the mail table. after 3-4 coats the oil is a bit sticky but i steel-wooled that down and it brought out the lovely finish of the oak. does have a scent but not to bad once it is dried. this oil on hard wood allows for a great looking and water protected piece that can take a beaten ass it is soaked in not just a varnish on top. hope this helps!!!

Really good at keeping the bugs away . Dribbled a bit around the bonfire .. and rubbed it on our body’s . Not a very pleasant odor !

Fab. Easy to use. Smells like used. Cooking oil but isn't horrendous. Just about to buy our 2nd bottle. Our floor is ~26m² and we're 2/3rds of the way through having done2 coats. Still plenty left to do the last part.

Good oil but has a lasting stink that is hard to stand in a closed room

Used this on some Redwood drawer fronts I'd put on my dad's new workbench, came up lovely! Easy to apply with a microfibre cloth and once dried, brought out the colour of the wood nicely. Didn't really notice much of a smell, but was using it outside, so unless it was overpowering, I'd probably not have noticed it anyway! Will definitely be buying some more of this in the future.
