My portable air conditioner with dehumidifier unit, which cost a fortune, only lasted a year so I needed a fan urgently. Not wanting to spend a lot, as i’m a pensioner, I decided to buy this one. Even though it’s made of plastic it is still really sturdy and surprisingly the air output is stronger than my air con one. It’s also very quiet. My pedestal fan seems really loud compared to this one. Plus you get a 2 year warranty instead of 1 year. I’m so pleased I’ve ordered another in black for my bedroom and an identical model, from a different manufacturer in white, for my kitchen. I have to have fans on 24/7 even in winter as I can’t control my body temperature, due to my illness. My broken one cost over £200 so the price of these is really good value…… I could have bought 7, and it still would have cost less than my previous one.

It does feel a bit cheap but it is a budget fan, the assembly is simple but a bit awkward. Once put together it works well, cooling the room quickly, the controls are a bit Strange, but i takes up little floor space and does a good job at cooling the room.

Easy assembly, even on the lowest setting, it's powerful enough for a average sized bedroom. Pretty quiet as well. Covers a wide area while oscillating.

I purchased this fan from Amazon Warehouse so was fortunate to buy a bit cheaper than retail (albeit with a slightly damaged box)The fan is very easy to assemble, simply install the base in 2 parts and secure with the screw supplied.There are 3 speed settings on the fan (low, medium, high) and also an integrated auto switch off timer which is very handy, especially for bed time use over the warmer months.The fan comes with a good sized power cable so it has a bit of flexibility on where it's placed when plugged in. I would guesstimate maybe a 2 meter cable?The unit isn't the quietest, probably no higher than a standard oscillator style fan but certainly loud enough to know that its on. The fan is a bit louder than I would have hoped for, especially as its mainly for night time use in the warm nights.Apart from it being a tad loud for my personal liking, everything else is great and on that basis I would recommend.*please note this is operated at the unit, not via a remote control
