I needed an unusually long bread knife to cut my homemade bread in the bread slicing apparatus I'd bought earlier. This is the longest knife I could find on Amazon OR ebay. I had reservations about purchasing it because a few reviewers claimed it was "too bendy." I imagined a knife that was very flimsy and perhaps even worthless for what I needed it for, however, since I had no other immediate choice to find an equally long knife anywhere else I bought it. I found this knife to work very well. The "bendy" thing ... I don't know ... I don't see it. This knife is very long and doesn't seem bendy at all, considering its length. Some other reviewers bought this knife to perform other duties besides slicing bread--I can't voutch for them, but for its intended use, slicing bread, for me, it works wonderfully.

Works great for large loaves like sourdough.

I needed a long bread knife to cut sourdough bread. The length is great. The only problem was the metal sturdiness was flimsy. I could not cut straight thru the bread. The knife kept bowing one way or the other. Other than that it works well on regular loaf bread.

It is cheaply made and flimsy. Spend more for a decent knife.

Pros: This is a really nice long knife for slicing bread, so it does its job. Cons: Not suitable for sourdough or heavier breads as the blade flexes.
