Great value. Highly functional.
This is a perfect lapboard. When growing up, we had lapboards that had a sawdust cushion and a hard top. I love them, you could sit in any chair enjoying the company of your family while working on small projects, homework, etc. I hadn't seen anything like that in years (certainly not as an adult). I've gotten to the point where my kids are old enough to not need constant attention and I'd like to do small projects while in the company of my family during the evenings. I wanted a lap board for that purpose. This product met my needs perfectly. Pros: 1) The cushion underneath is comfortable and allows the lapboard to sit stable on a lap while sitting on a couch or recliner 2) The adjustable top piece is pretty sturdy, and very easy to move but stays in place once set. Positions all have a useful purpose 3) The lip at the bottom that can be moved in if you want a completely flat surface and out if you want to catch items while the top in inclined is great 4) I've used this product for multiple things and it's worked well for each: Working on my laptop, writing notes, drawing sketches, needlework projects, etc. Cons: 1) The lip does not have a catch like the adjustable top portion. Its not a big deal, but when I put the lapboard away, the lip always flips out. 2) I wish the lapboard was just a bit larger. The size isn't bad, as it will fit a medium sized laptop, but it would be nice is it was 4-5 inches longer

Great product for the price. Love it!
This thing is awesome! Is exactly what I've been looking for. I do adult coloring books to help with my anxiety and panic attacks. I have been looking for a lap desk table thing a ma bob for when I'm sitting or laying down in bed. It's very light weight versus some others that I have purchased, which were like 20 or 30lbdms!. It has a piece at the bottom that flips out so you that you can rest your book or a pencil or whatever on it and it doesn't slide. The only thing that I wish it had was not so much of a slippery surface. I wish it had a surface that grabbed and held on to the book or clipboard pencils whatever you put placed on it. That's the ONE thing that drives me insane is how things just slide off of it without warning. I'm on the way to the store to find some kind of something that I can glue/tape/whatever to the top of it to help get that grip that's needed. The bean bags underneath that land your legs are wonderful. They conform to your legs and are very comfortable. One last thing I wish was that it was maybe it was little bit bigger and maybe have kind of an indentation on the side for holding extra pens and pencils? And maybe a slide out mousepad from underneath?. That could easily fit between the 2 lap cushions. But as it is selling, at this moment in this condition, the only complaint I have is the slickeriness of it and having to purchase another item to resolve that issue. Other than that this thing's awesome. I highly recommended for readers, schetchers, artists, colorists, homework doers etc.

Does the job!
I purchased this for my 11inch IPAD PRO when i moving around from room to room or sitting in my bed working. PROS: Its made of plastic and adjusts easily for how high I want it to sit. The cushions on the bottom feel like little bean bags. The laptop desk feels light weight. So even with a laptop on it was comfortable. You can use it for a book, computer, Ipad, etc. Adjusting it was easy as well (See photos). It fit great into by 15in book bag and I was able to transport it, my macbook pro, ipad pro and other items together. I didnt have anything slip off it with the latch that hangs out to hold my device. CONS: My only concern was the plastic because i felt like if it dropped it would definitely crack. I havent dropped it (hope i dont. lol). Also that the one i received has a few scratches on the surface, but i wasnt worried about them. I think its a great laptop desk and I would order another one if needed.

Great lap desk for reasonable price.
I went between this and a couple of other "more sophisticated" looking lap desks. I really just needed something so I can work on my laptop on the couch without my neck hurting. This thing is awesome!!! I just got it, but the angle puts the screen just where I need it, and for the price, it really is a no-brainer. I'm so glad I bought this. Simple and effective.

Perfect for Surgery Recovery and Everyday Use
I’ve been using this Mind Reader Lap Desk daily and nightly for the past month, and honestly, it’s become my little MVP. After my kidney transplant surgery, I packed it in my luggage for the 3 weeks I stayed at the hotel, and it was pure gold. Lightweight, portable, and comfy with that cushioned bottom and exactly what I needed to rest, read, eat, or watch my shows without stressing my huge abdominal incision. If you want something practical that just makes life easier, this lap desk is it. Highly recommend!

i am surprised at how much of a positive difference this makes
i work from home on my couch and recliner, and i always basically have my up feet on the seat part of the couch or recliner seat to lift my legs up to serve as a base to hold my laptop to bring it close enough to my body to use. i kept only looking at foldable laptop tables, the kind with 4 legs that go over your 2 human legs :-) and the one i just got broke - they weren't comfortable and bc the table covers your legs, your legs aren't really mobile with a table. i had to sit with my legs straight to the ground. i found myself avoiding using it, anyway it broke right away. also with a table with 4 legs, you are stuck at the height it gives you - you can't move your legs closer to your body etc. it's a fairly inflexible set up. turns out i was looking for the wrong kind of laptop table - this is totally different and soo much better i am surprised at how much of a + difference it makes. i am now sitting on my recliner, sitting indian style/cross legged, with this laptop table on top of my legs, it's very comfortable bc of the foam base, and i have lifted the top of the table (it's adjustable) so that the computer is nice and close enough to my face and hands. i use a macbook air 11" and it's not falling off, easy to type. i really love this. i wish it had some sort of storage so i could store my headphones but maybe i'll rig it somehow. anyway i love it and use it all the time. if you're the type who likes to move your legs around, or put your computer on your chest, etc, this is really pleasantly cool. gives you flexibility. pay attention when you buy stuff - if you avoid using things, i would say those things are not for you. it's a sublte feeling, but an important one. i learned that i only want to have stuff around that i want to use often. i got this yesterday but notice that every time i go for my computer (dozens of times a day) i immediately grab this too and have used it every time bc i wanted to - it's like an extension of my computer now. to me that's an indication that this is a keeper. it's also lightweight and not bulky, important to me. i will bring it when i travel.

not bad but too flimsy
I've had two. Each lasted for 2-3 years then broke. They are comfortable. Bottom charger devices are problematic bc of the lip the tablet sits on. (Some apps won't run upside-down). I'm going to try to find something better.

It feels secure ... and saves my hands and neck!
I read to my husband in bed at night and once he is asleep, I continue reading silenty until I begin to feel relaxed (or hopefully, sleepy). I have tried several things over the years but none worked as well as this one does. You see, I have arthritis in my hands so holding a book will cause them to hurt and go numb quickly. Since I can't hold books for long, I need to read hands-free. I've tried reading with my book in my lap but it is too far away for me to read with or without glasses and it's hard on my arthritic neck to bend my head down for so long. I've tried pillows but am always re-adjusting them to tilt the page just right so it avoids the glare of the light over my shoulder. Yes, I agree, I'm a mess! = ) But this is what makes such a product as this so important for me and surely, I can't be the only person with arthritis that reads in bed, right? Anyway, I still need to use a pillow underneath the Lap Top Desk to raise it closer to my realm of vision but once I get it situated, it stays! It doesn't feel like it is going to slip off the pillow because its pillows aren't slippery at all. (In fact, they kind of grip.) Even the top, which isn't padded, doesn't seem slippery like other things I've tried. To be honest, I only realized that while writing this review. Also, even though I use it on the highest tilt, it doesn't feel like it will change positions on me before I'm ready. The lip at the bottom that the book rests on has so far been totally sufficient for any book I've held on it. I don't feel it is flimsy and that was one of my concerns. I suppose it's possible that a large/thick book on a high tilt might strain it but I have no way of knowing that for certain. I only know that I am totally happy with the quality of craftsmanship in this product and highly recommend it. If you are a person with similar needs, you might want to know about the only other product that I use to save my hands while reading. As you know, not all books will stay open without holding the pages to keep it from closing...sometimes just a few pages, sometimes the whole book. This product is called an Easy Book Clip and I've been using them for years to hold open my books for me. Usually, the clipped book will even stand on its own and this is also great for my neck, especially if I'm sitting at a table, reading. If you're interested, use those words in an internet search or just remove the spaces and add a dot com at the end. They are not for sale on Amazon but I did find a similar product here that I don't care for quite as much. It seems to be made for a larger book, perhaps, and requires you to grab a lot more pages to latch-on and the front and back "legs" are longer which makes it more work to turn pages. Anyway, it does accomplish the same goal if you can keep enough pages locked in it so it will hold the pages open without "hand-holding" the book. It's called a Book Magic Book Clip and Stand.
