After cutting the nut slot too low on my Taylor 414ce, thought I definitely would have to replace the nut. StewMac’s nut powder and thin super glue worked great. So easy and quick to repair. Guitar is back to sounding amazing, with no buzz.

Just what I needed to fix the buzz. This saved me from having to replace the whole nut. Go on youtube to learn how to do it. You will need the right files but I got the one I needed from Harbor Freight however you would need the right ones for the G B E small strings.

Ordered this kit as an option for a buzz at the nut on a very nice Weissenborn style guitar. The buzz was driving me crazing and I didn't want to replace the nut or use baking soda as a temporary repair. Back filling the nut slot was not very difficult and the repair went very well. Note that you do need to use a thin superglue and will need an appropriate type of file to complete the job. There is a good video from StewMac that demonstrates how to use the powder to fix a nut slot.

A cheaper method of filling is to take an old bone nut or saddle and make your own bone dust by sanding and using the powder, the fill the nut groove with the powder, followed up with liquid super glue.

I used this the other day to repair a Tusq nut on a Carvin guitar. I used thin super glue (that’s all I had) and it took a couple hours to harden. Once hard it works great. I an getting some gel super glue to try with this. Should work better. This saved me from making a new nut. Worth the cost on first use.

I like that this product comes with the various colors needed to work on different nuts. It also comes with the little tool to help pour the dust on the nut. Highly recommend.
