Authentic (ish) and an adventure to own
I grew up in a home full of love and when food additives were a good thing and added an unbelievable amount of yumminess. My mom mentioned she wanted to try homemade Chinese food, so dad went to Gemco and bought an electric wok, teflon covered and ready to make our Idaho homestead feel a bit international. Those were good times, and oddly, 48 years later, I decided I want to make food from China, too. The instructions made me lol, and I thought perhaps I had written them and forgot. The seasoning process is a great way to build trust with your cooking utensils, may provide you with the opportunity to check the status of your smoke detector, so be prepared.I love this wok. It came with proper wok tools and a base for it to sit on tip of the stove burner. The steel has become a sweet shade of chrome headers like in my mustang and is easy to care for. It is not too heavy and after pounding the wooden handle into place, is easy to move around. I would have given it 3stars just for the instructions, so overall, I’d say it rated about an 8.

Excellent wok
I was considering investing in a $200 authentic hand-hammered wok but decided it would be wise to test out a more affordable option first to evaluate its performance. This wok matched the size I needed, and the included tools at such an unbeatable price were hard to resist. When it arrived, the wok had a stunning pearly silver finish. Following the advice from various online tutorials, I seasoned it properly. After seasoning, the wok transformed into a gorgeous black-purple-brown hue. The weight feels perfect, and I’m excited to create some incredible meals with it.A tip for prospective buyers: disregard images of woks rusting or being labeled "defective"—these cases often result from improper seasoning. To season correctly, thoroughly clean the wok before starting, apply multiple thin layers of a high smoke point oil, and ensure both the interior and exterior are oiled. After each use, avoid using soap; simply rinse with hot water and scrub gently with a mild abrasive if needed. If soap is necessary, use it sparingly and reapply a light coat of oil before storing. Even if your wok becomes completely rusted, it’s still salvageable with some effort, salt, and oil

Decent For The Price
OOTB Review: I purchased for the wok and ring, figuring everything else would likely be cheesy and made from Chinesium. I wasn't surprised or disappointed by what arrived. One star off the DIY handle installation; the two screws to be used for fixing the wooden handle to the wok were made from Chinesium and the handle had no pilot holes to make inserting the screws easy and straight. I was lazy and decided to just muscle in the screws instead of drilling pilot holes and I regret that now as one of the screws got off center and both of them stripped due to the limited ability of the manufacture to use good carbon steel for screws and fittings. The kitchen tools are laughably cheesy - flimsy, roughly made, and even somewhat undersized. The only ones I'm likely to keep are the spatula and "spider", which was really a flattened ladle w/ some drain holes. If my experience w/ the seasoning and actual use for cooking goes well, I'll buy a better set of tools. I'm regretting now buying the round bottom version, as I had thought this would be more traditional and do a better job as a result. Without yet using it, I'm now a little worried about using a wok ring as some of the information on the web suggests this may damage your stove burner. More to come...

Non-slick works great
Love it! It took me the better part of the day to season it, but it was super easy to do in the oven. I didn’t want to get a pre-seasoned one as was worried that they may use chemicals on them. Chat GPT told me canola oil was best for seasoning woks, and it worked out great. Not gummy and completely non-stick. I was worried about the quality for the price, but I’m impressed. The utensils that come with it were junk - wish they had the option to leave those out and reduce the waste.

Good quality product
This wok works wonderfully, and I use it quite frequently. The utensils that come with it are functional, though they are of a slightly lower quality. Overall, I believe the product is well worth the investment.

We didn’t get to use it
We did what the instructions said we seasoned it 3 times it would never take and when you wash it it turns rusty what a waste of money notice the pits and scratches on the metal.UPDATE: Email from seller: Thank you for your support, sorry for the inconvenience, we will help you solve the problem. Because the wok is made of iron, it is easy to rust when the surface of the wok is not kept dry for a long time. We recommend that you soak in warm water, then clean the rusty area with a brush, and reflavor it for normal use. Tips to prevent iron pot from rusting:1. Clean and keep dry in time.2. After each cooking, please coat the surface of the wok with a layer of cooking oil, so that the wok forms a layer of natural oil film, which can not only prevent rust, but also achieve non-stick effect. We have been waiting for your reply. If you need any help from us, please let us know and we will try our best to help you.MY ANSWER: WHAT ELSE CAN I DO TO THIS PAN? IVE FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS THE PAN IS JUNK IT CANNOT BE SAVED OR FIXED. IF IT WASNT TOO LATE ID ASK FOR MY 43.00 BACK

Take the time to properly "set up" your wok.
This is an excellent wok! You do have to take time to properly season it and read the instructions to continue to take care of it. The screws to attach the handle are small and in the box in a tiny bag- make sure you look for them instead of throwing them out. We have a gas stove and the ring works perfectly.
