Indeed they are thick and heavy-duty; fit for a king sized person. The extra two inches in width is more appropriate for broad shouldered garments. Which adds a tidy cohesiveness to your closet space. The hangers do not have sharp edges. I would not consider them to be slip resistant.

These are quite sturdy for the price and fit large jackets and shirts. They also have hooks and slots to hang small articles for drying after laundry. I like that they are made in the USA. They appear to match ones we purchased some years ago from Target. It was so nice to order from Amazon and have them shipped to me.

Great hangers for larger size clothes

My son is 6'6" and these hangers are great for hanging his heavier jackets or hoodies and also nice for hanging any of his tops to dry. Even though they are sturdy and a good product, $16.96 is way too much money for six hangers. I'd buy a closet full if they were cheaper.

I'm a big guy. I have big shirts. There hangers don't care. They are sturdy and easy to use. I now have almost 40 for all my shirts and pants. All my hangables are on them, none other.
