Works best for me on a firm chair or bench surface. Bottom cushion surface grips chair or bench. Attractive Velvet like top and side surfaces. Ships compressed in a tight roll and fluffs up quickly when released. Cushion thickness is an honest 3 inches but there is a small amount of compression when you sit on it... less than would be with a regular pillow. I think it would be quite possible to stack 2 together to get more height. I'm happy with it and may even order a second one.

Being heavy this compresses to abou 1 half its size. I use it in my lazy boy hoping it would help me stand easier but lost too much height

I bought an expensive office chair, unfortunately, the seat cushion felt like sitting on concrete after about an hour. This seat cushion made an incredible difference, I can now work for hours without feeling pain. Cushioning is good, feels like a tempur memory foam pillow.I had to air it out for a few days, the rubber smell went after about 10 days. I'll probably get another out of fear they will disappear one day..

I bought a new office chair that was great, except the seat had no cushioning. THis solved the problem. Good and firm. No lower back problems with this cushion.

This cushion is so soft it compresses all the way, even thought it is rated “firm”. Even light weighted people will experience this compression.The quality of the materials is decent, but the cushion totally fails at providing any sort of cushioning. I would not recommend it.
