does what it’s supposed to. i made it better when i removed the straps and used a lil wd40 to stop the squeaky noise it started making after 10k rotations. some minor annoying things is that there isn’t a distance counter. and the resistance tensioner doesn’t really work great. i cant get it to have much resistance even at the tightest setting. it’s just easy light pedaling. also it didn’t perfectly sit level on my hard wood floor. it used to have an annoying wobble but i’ve been able to fix this by using electrical tape and wrapping a few of the legs until it was stable and level. but it’s worked well under my desk. i’m glad i’ve been able to get some activity and blood flowing while sitting at my desk for long durations. make sure it’s set up in front of a wall or something to prop up against otherwise it’s going to just pedal away from you. won’t be any good if it’s not able to prop up against something extra sturdy like a wall. it’s the cheapest option on the market and you’re getting what you pay for. it’s not the best but it can be worth it if you make it work like i have.oh and another thing is the pedals have an opening where you can feel the metal washers or clips through the slit of the pedals if you’re using this with no shoes on. it has an uncomfortable feeling that feels like it could cut your feet. i fixed this by wrapping electrical tape around the pedal covering the exposed slits.basically there are a bunch of quirks that you can fix and make better with easy small maintenance and mods.the only thing i can’t do is add a distance counter to the digital display. they should replace count with distance. i want to know what the count conversion rate is. how many rotations is equivalent to 10000 steps.overall with my ability to make it work i find this purchase worth its cheap price. if you’re not willing to do things to make it work then avoid this item. try another option that costs a little more.

I wasn’t sure this product would work well because of the low price but I am very pleased with it. It doesn’t move around at all as some reviews mentioned and it is easy to use. Because I just had total hip replacement surgery the light weight helps with storing it. My doctor recommended this brand.

The physical therapist doing the pre operative class for my knee replacement surgery suggested this as something we might want to purchase if we had no access to a stationery bike. I bought it and am using it daily as I recover. I like it very much, loosens up my knee and is great exercise as I recover. Highly recommend even if buying it for exercise while sitting and watching tv.

Basically you get what you pay for. If you're using this for therapy at a slow pace then you're good to go. It is good for a quick 30 minute work out that does generate sweat depending on the tension setting.Some issues to look for.1.) My display screen turns on but stays at 0. Even when I start peddling it doesn't keep track of anything. I used a timer to let me know when I reached 30 minutes.2.) At times there was a clicking sound. If I slowed down it seemed to make it go away.3.) I had to butt it up against a wall to keep it still and to keep it from sliding on the carpet. No big deal for me, my desk is against the wall anyway. I use the mesh mat that comes with it to keep from damaging the baseboard.4.) Gets hot really quick. The pegs that hold the peddles get super hot after 30 minutes. If it weren't for the padding it would burn your skin. It's hot even with the padding so handle with care.5.) When it gets hot, it smells funky. Not bad but still...Overall if you keep at a moderate pace and only for 30 minutes at a time, no big deal. If you're looking for more, you shouldn't even have been looking at this product. The screen not working properly doesn't bother me, most of the info is BS anyway. I just keep track of time and tension. When I was done, my thighs did burn so like I said for a quick 30 minute deal you'll be okay. Wait a couple of hours before you do another 30 minutes stint to avoid overheating/smell.

I had a total knee replacement and I was requested to purchase this item for my therapy at home. It is doing what it’s supposed to do.

I love this thing. I use it all the time when reading or watching TV.I bought my last one in November 2019 (1 year, 7 months ago). The pedal mechanism is starting to come apart, and my friend mentioned wanting one, so I gave them my old one to try. They love it.I think this holds up well for a $30 item. The only detractor for me is that the pedal mechanism is not as smooth as it should be.
