Nancy Chandler's Map of Chiang Mai, 21st Edition Map – March 31, 2017

I will soon be visiting Chiang Mai for the 10th time and I am never without this map. It highlights all the must see places and many suggested places to visit. Fun, colorful and very useful! Enjoy Chiang Mai.

We loved this amazing map. It is like an entire guide book in map form. I love to travel and love to research travel locations. I bought this map nearly a year before our trip to Chiang Mai and we got it out as we planned our trip. We circled where we were staying then planned from there. That map was with us every day - we’d duck into a coffee shop to get our bearings using the map. It’s super colorful and fun to look at. Don’t be overwhelmed - you won’t ever see everything on it! But that’s the fun of it - I always see something new. We’re near the end of our month here and Nancy Chandler’s map made all the difference! Great suggestions, tips and must see places. Don’t go to Chiang Mai without it!

Best map ever! I love this map, it is visually pretty and has so much more information on it than most maps - not only the tourist sites but also restaurants, shopping places, etc. Also contains close-up views of certain areas, including the downtown area. I know it's the best map of Chiang Mai you can buy because it's the map that the Amazing Race contestants when they were in Chiang Mai on the last episode! (Season 30, episode 9.)

Map has too much and thus really can't be read. At least by me or my wife's eyes. Ended up not using it at all, although it's well made and looks nice. However companion guide book is the best and we used as our #1 source to for cool places to go. My wife would read, and then i would use google maps on my phone to locate. Companion book made the this our best pre-trip purchase.

This map was an incredibly useful map for my trip to Chiang Mai. It was easy to read and the illustrations of the sights made it so much easier to find my way around and to know that I was in the correct area. I used this for my entire trip. I've been known to meander off my route but I was always on track with this map.

If you're going to be in and out of Chiang Mai in a couple days, this is probably unnecessary (especially since you're likely to do some out-of-town excursions anyway). But we found ourselves in the city for about a week, and this detailed gem of a map was hugely interesting and helpful. It's a dense city, and this helped us get the most out of it. I recommend!

I used this map recently for a 3 week trip to Chiang Mai and it was extremely helpful. The first time you look at it, it looks overwhelming and you don't think you will ever be able to use it. But you will quickly figure it out and you will love it!

I really wanted to like this map. I LOVE maps...but I need to be honest here, this is NOT a map. It's like a massive doodle sketch that someone would make on the cover of their notebook on the flight home from Thailand. There are some little (very little) nuggets of information scattered across the thing, but nothing really of value to help you navigate gorgeous region of Chiang Mai. There is so much to see and enjoy there and this is mockery of it. It really is like someone just doodled the things they remembered, didn't include anything they couldn't recall very well, and never intended it to be an actual GUIDE to anyone traveling there for the first time.I purchased this (and one for Bangkok) for a recent trip to Thailand, and after opening it several times trying to get my bearings or make any sense of it, I ditched it for 2 alternatives that work perfectly together: Thailand travel blogs and the DK Eyewitness Top 10 Travel guide to Thailand. Hands down, a much better investment. Happy travels!
